Dedication
I want to dedicate this book to my children. I want to say that I love you all very much and I know you will do great things in your lives! I am already immensely proud of all of you for being such wonderful human beings!
I also want to give a special mention to my precious little ‘great niece’ who was late with her talking. Her mum was so worried and anxious about her delayed talking and wondered if she would ever talk properly. Both mother and daughter inspired me to write this book to help them both and many other parents who might be in the same situation.
By the way she is a little chatterbox now!

Introduction
5 Minutes A Day! It’s nothing, we probably spend more time checking emails or cleaning up the toys. Nevertheless, these are invaluable. This is the minimum time you should spend ‘teaching’ early interaction skills to your child. It is important to begin by saying that these strategies are for helping typically developing children, however, they can also be used with children who have Special Needs. You may need to adapt your language and the level of difficulty of the play activity you are trying to match with the abilities of the child.
We are going to talk about the strategies you need to try to help your child become a confident communicator. These strategies are easy to follow and implement in your daily routines with your child whether you are at home or out and about, all you need is a minimum of 5 minutes a day. Hopefully, over time you will be motivated and become
