Trial & Error - Rania Al Zohiry
Indifferent
Concealed behind the deceiving ecstasy of emotions
A figure lay on a field of ice, too somnolent
to notice the bitterness of the indifferent moon
Apathetic of a world forcing exuberance;
desperate to appear aesthetically pleasing the blissfully ignorant
to the emptiness in my heart; in a place that feels too much I feel too little
She Was Curious
She has the world at the tip of her fingers
With every breath she takes,
petals of rich scarlet roses fall, blushing crimson upon the viridescent field of vast mother nature
Bare feet traced the cracked lines of earth, blindly following the growing desire of her forever giving heart
Amber eyes searching for hidden gems and golden hues, uncovering the enraptured art, gifted by the soft hands of grace, tirelessly shading cerulean oceans and emerald green forests
She was curious and unafraid
Delicately tracing the outlines of her dreams,
And carving her name against the craft of nature
motions of galaxies, asteroids and stars etched the wonders of her mind
She lay in bed yearning for the taste of the bliss they called life,
Eyes closed, dreaming of all the places she could mark
Eyes closed, dreaming of all the wondrous laughter she would experience
Eyes closed, she sketched the sun being circled by the glowing moon, and watched as the glowing moon was chased by the ever ending blossoming beauty she called home; and she dreamed. She dreamed of venturing every forged path in this world, she dreamed of being an astronaut just so she could see the tales and wonders of the moon and she dreamed of being able to admire the illuminating rays of the sun from that
