About this ebook
Excerpts from the book:
...Princesses have been trying to defend their right not to be imprisoned in a tower for many centuries, calling it a relic of the past. But the Knights of the Order of Stereotypes have always found a huge number of reasons why such stereotypes should live. So the princesses were imprisoned in the towers to this day.
Of course, Princess Snow Rose did not escape this fate either. And when, after her sixteenth birthday, her parents said that she would soon go to the tower, the Princess was indignant:
“I don’t want to be imprisoned in the tower! This is an outdated stereotype! Besides, how will I study further?”
“Oh, don’t worry,” the King, her father, answered. “Your teachers will communicate with you through a magic mirror, and you will continue your education. And you will also be able to communicate with us through the magic mirror.”
“And, of course, we will send you various exercise machines to the tower so that you do not lose your physical shape,” the Queen, her mother, supported her husband. “Pack your things, you'll be heading to the tower soon. And you will live there until your groom, Prince of the Kingdom of the Scarlet Phoenix, Julian, saves you. If he saves you before you both turn eighteen and become adults, then you will just wait to get married.”
“Ha ha ha, not even funny,” Snow Rose answered sarcastically. “You know Julian very well! As a warrior, he is completely untalented, for he has been engaged in poetry all his life! He will never get past a dragon! I will be imprisoned in the tower until the end of time! After all, everyone knows that dragons are almost impossible to persuade, they are extremely difficult to deceive, they are terribly stubborn, simple magic does not work on them! And sleeping potions don’t work on them either, so it’s useless to ‘treat’ them to such a dish!”
“Don’t worry, daughter,” the Queen tried to calm her down. “Your father was not a skilled warrior either, but in the end he saved me from the dragon! And I spent only seven years in the tower! But your father heroically saved me in the end! And we got married right away!”
“Really?” Snow Rose chuckled skeptically. “But my grandmother told me that the dragon eventually had nothing to pay for his service. After all, everyone knows that dragons guard the princesses in the towers not for free. They are paid for this from the treasury of the kingdoms. In other words, taxpayers' money is spent on this. As a result, a dragon leaves his service due to the fact that he does not ‘receive a salary’. Even the Knights of the Order of Stereotypes are powerless against such circumstances. The only thing they can do is conduct an independent tax audit of the kingdom's treasury to ensure that there are enough funds to pay the dragon's reward. If the Knights find out that the king or queen deceived the public in order to free their daughter from imprisonment in the tower, they will fine the crowned persons a large sum. And again they will be obliged to imprison the princess in the tower.”
The King and Queen were embarrassed.
“Daughter, perhaps we will have nothing to pay your dragon later,” the father tried to reassure Snow Rose.
“Oh yes, great! Wasted money on dragons!” Snow Rose grabbed her head. “Although these amounts could be used to develop urban infrastructure, education, medicine or science!”
The King and Queen were embarrassed again. They didn't know what to say. But after a long pause, the Queen said:
“We have already chosen a dragon for you and a tower in which you will be imprisoned. We must honor traditions, even if they seem outdated to you.”

Chapter 3. Satyr in an Ordinary Forest! Or: Are You Really not from Narnia?
Some time has passed since Emerald returned to her true form. During this period, a lot of interesting events happened.
Filming of the film ‘The Power of Mathematical Formulas’ has begun. As Emerald had intended, she passed the casting and took part in the filming of the film. This made Tenebris very nervous. But there was nothing to do, she had to maintain composure on the set.
Tanya, although she passed the casting for the episodic role of Dasha, decided not to refuse to film. And she coped with her task quite successfully (using magical perfume, of course). The scene with Dasha was filmed quickly. Later, the fee for filming came to her mother’s bank account. And thanks to Emerald’s magic, the woman perceived the suddenly appeared amount as a small bonus from her work.
Tanya realized that filming the film became an extremely interesting and valuable creative experience for her. But at the same time, she suddenly realized that she did not want to build an acting career, although the girl had previously dreamed of becoming an actress, but now she intends to strive for a new goal.
The story of the abandoned, exhausted bulldog Peppy, who took the place of Emi (bewitched into the bulldog Emerald), shook the girl to the core. It seemed to her that she would never forget how exhausted and beaten Peppy looked.
Of course, Emerald healed the dog. But it was physical healing. And although Peppy, who changed her name to Emi, settled well into Tanya’s family and got used to her new owners, sometimes she whined pitifully in her sleep or woke up abruptly. She was probably having disturbing dreams.
At the sight of this, Tanya’s heart sank in pain. And she understood perfectly well that the case with Emi and Peppy, one might say, was a story with a good ending. But how many other dogs are like this, and not only dogs, but also other animals that are mistreated by their owners? How many animals are sent to special shelters, and how many of them need medical care?
And, after some reflection, Tanya decided to become a veterinarian. But still she was tormented by some doubts: how would her parents react to her choice? Sometimes the girl lacked determination...
From time to time, Tanya communicated with Emerald through her earring. They always found something to talk about. Emerald shared her impressions of filming the film. Although the girl no longer wanted to become an actress, she always listened with interest about what was happening on the set.
Soon the school year ended. And Tanya began to prepare for a trip to the town where her maternal grandparents lived. It was a small but very cozy town, located a hundred kilometers from the girl’s homecity.
In the town where her grandparents lived there were both apartment buildings and private ones. Her grandparents lived in their own house and maintained a small garden and vegetable garden. The house was nice and cozy. And next door, in a similar house, lived another elderly couple. Their grandson Petya, Tanya’s childhood friend, came to visit them for the summer. During the rest of the year, he lived with his parents in a large city, so he only saw the neighbor’s girl in the summer. During the rest of the year, the boy and girl called each other by phone or communicated on the Internet.
Tanya loved all her grandparents very much. But for some reason, her paternal grandparents
