Introduction
If you are reading this book, then you are most likely interested in divination by wax and candles. So, what is divination on wax and divination in general?
As everyone knows, there are three main stages in human life — past, present and future. A person has already experienced the past, the present is known to a person, but the future is unknown.
However, is it really unknown? After all, with the help of fortune telling, a person is given the opportunity to open the veil of the future, to find out what is destined. Knowing approximately what will happen tomorrow, a person thereby eliminates the feeling of uncertainty from consciousness and gets the opportunity to prepare for the future.
As you probably already know, there are a variety of types of divination: divination by Tarot cards, palmistry, astrology, divination by wax, by candlelight, and others. But this book will be devoted to divination on wax and candles, and we will talk about them further.
But first, let's say a few words about them in more detail.
Fortune telling on wax, or wax casting, is one of the oldest types of divination, the roots of which go back to ancient Greece and ancient Egypt. Even in Babylon this type of divination was already known. Babylonian sorcerers poured melted wax into the water, waited for it to harden, and then interpreted the meaning of the resulting figures. So we can say that for a long time and to our time, the method of divination the future by wax has not changed much.
Now divination with the help of wax is called ceroscopy. It is quite simple and accessible. But at the same time, there is a possibility that it will not work for you the first time, only those who are decisive and persistent master it.
When pouring wax, a candle is lit, and when it burns out enough time, wax is poured into water. When the melted wax hardens in water, it takes on the shape of a certain figure or figures, the meaning of which the fortune tellers are trying to interpret. You can learn more about wax casting and the meaning of wax figures later in this book.
As for divination by candlelight, it also has its own history.
Candles appeared in Rome, about two thousand years ago. These were not wax candles familiar to us, but at first they looked like small torches. Later, during the persecution of Christians, candles gained great popularity and around this period they began to be used in religious ceremonies.
In the beginning, people used lard to create candles, and then beeswax began to be used to create candles. But due to the high cost of beeswax candles, it was customary to light them only in exceptional cases.
To decorate city streets, candles were first used in Constantinople in the 4th century. It so happened that the appearance of this innovation just coincided with the celebration of Easter. And this custom quickly spread in European countries.
In Russia, candles came into use approximately 800 years ago, and the first candles in Russia were made from lard. There were also wax candles, but because of their high cost they were not widely used. Although it was candles made of wax, which were specially created by craftsmen on the eve of church holidays, that were used for worship. As a rule, the manufacture of candles intended for worship was accompanied by special rituals and prayers.
Now candles are used mainly as a decoration for a romantic dinner, or as a Christmas attribute. Candles are one of many people's favorite birthday cake decorations. But there is another direction in which candles are used. This is the direction to which this book is devoted. Yes, exactly — candles are also used for divination.
It just so happened that in ancient times, fire in human life was of great importance. In ancient times, people considered fire to be alive and endowed it with the ability to prophesy the future. And part of this attitude towards fire eventually passed to candles. So, it is not surprising that candles were actively used in the magical rites of the past, and are used in magical rites now.
In magic, candles are considered both a mysterious and saving symbol. By candlelight people tell fortunes, by candlelight they pray. Candles also light the way.
In this book, in addition to divination by wax, we will also consider divination by candlelight. Fortune telling on cheap paraffin candles is not recommended, as the result may be inaccurate. But do not worry, now there are special shops and salons of magical paraphernalia where you can choose the candles you need. However, before you start buying, you should have a clear idea of what kind of candles you will need. How to determine what types of candles you need, what types of candles exist in general, and much more you can learn from this book.
Preparing for Divination
Preparing the Body and Clothes
In order to conduct fortune telling on wax and candles, for this you need to carry out a number of specific preparations. You will need to choose the time and place of divination in a certain way, and it will be important to maintain a certain state of the body, and your clothes will also play an equally important role in divination on wax and candles.
First, let's talk about the state of the body. To carry out any magical action, including fortune telling on wax and candles, it is advisable to be in good physical shape. Try to eat a balanced diet, it is best to eat natural foods, especially vegetables and fruits. You should not abuse flour, sweet and you should not also abuse meat. A balanced and rationed diet will help you feel healthy and improve your physical condition. If you feel healthy, this will also positively affect your emotional state, and this will also contribute to a more successful rites.
Now, let's talk about clothes for rituals. Of course, you can conduct fortune telling in your everyday clothes, and it is not at all necessary that fortune telling will become less successful from this. But still, specially prepared clothes will help you bring your soul and consciousness into the appropriate state, which will contribute to the successful conduct of the ritual.
In addition to the fact that you can conduct divination in specially prepared clothes, you can also perform rituals without it. For some people, on the contrary, it is getting rid of clothes that helps to tune in a certain emotional way.
So, whether to conduct rituals in everyday clothes, specially prepared, or without it at all, you yourself should decide, depending on how it will be better and easier for you to tune in to a certain emotional mood, depending on how it will be easier for you to bring your soul and consciousness into the appropriate state.
But let's talk in more detail about clothing for rituals. Clothing specially prepared for rituals allows you to help you tune your emotional state more appropriately for rituals, which allows you to increase the success of the ritual, for example, in this case, divination with wax and candles.
If you want to prepare ritual clothes with very long or wide sleeves, then be very careful, or it would be better to refuse to use clothes of this style at all. Since you will be dealing with candles in rituals, and not necessarily candles will be used in divination, they can also be used in other rituals, therefore, this can be a fire hazard.
Your ritual clothing can be anything — it can be a traditional mantle, like magicians, or it can be simple everyday clothes in its style. The main thing is that these clothes should not be used anywhere else and never, except for magical rites.
If you yourself are going to sew ritual clothes for yourself, then you will most likely be faced with the question of choosing a fabric. Choose the fabric that you feel most comfortable in, although it is better, of course, if your choice falls on a natural fabric such as cotton, silk or linen.
Next, you are probably worried about the choice of the color of your clothes. The color of your ritual clothes can be any. Choose the color that suits you. For example, it can be white — it contains the entire color spectrum. Although, your ritual clothes, as mentioned above, can be of any color, the main thing is that it suits you.
Ritual clothes are cut and sewn by hand. When sewing clothes, focus on the thoughts that this will be your ritual clothes that you will wear during magical rites. This will allow you to put the necessary energy into your ritual outfit.
If you want to decorate your ritual clothes, then it is best to do this by hand too. You can decorate your ritual clothes with embroidery, fabric painting or appliqué.
After you have completed your ritual outfit, carefully wrap it in a clean white cloth and put it away in the place where you keep your magical tools.
