About this ebook

This book consists of many short stories for kids from age six to over.
Every story has a different plot, enriched with fantasy, mystery, magic and humour.
The main character is Jack, a seven years old child, who inspired my work. He will take part in many adventures throughout the story and he will meet a tiny and friendly ghost, Oliver, who will become his best friend and his guide.

My aim is to capture the interest of every kid, no matter their age, nationality and culture.

The Adventures of Jack & Co - Erica Tinfena Tiffany

    true

    Introduction

This book contains a collection of short stories enriched with fun, laughter and life lessons.

I was inspired by a very intelligent kid who wanted to know many things about this life.

He wanted to learn and understand how some things worked but, of course, like every other kid does, he loved laughing while learning.

In some occasions, it was time to be serious and sensitive too about some topics.

This book is dedicated to him, Jack, and to all the kids who are curious and interested in learning new things, and to the ones who love fantasy and imagination.

To you, Jack, my best friend and the best kid I have ever met!

    With love, Erica

A glass fish came to life

Melody was a five years old girl, who lived in a wooden house facing the ocean.

She lived with her three brothers and her parents.

The curious thing about her place was that everything was actually made of glass inside.

The walls, the table, the couch, the TV, the doors, the floor, the windows, the beds, the bathroom...

Every single thing was shining glass!

Melody had always wondered why her house had a double face, wood and glass.

One day, she decided to ask her bigger brother, Matt:" Matty, can I ask you something? Why has our house a shining looking?"

Matt replied:" Because our beloved granny put a spell on the place years ago, with the aim of protecting us forever."

Melody was really surprised, but so sad too since she had never met her granny.

Everybody, mum and dad mostly, said she was a great woman, with a good heart and very brave.

Melody loved exploring all the corners of the house, even the ones apparently forbidden.

Maybe, she could find an old picture of her granny or something about her past, she thought.

So, that evening, when everybody was asleep, she introduced herself in the attic, reachable from some glass stairs.

None of her brothers ever walked up there, because mum didn 't allow them and also because there were so many spiders, dust and it was really dark.

But Melody,on the contrary, was very brave and did not mind.

So, she climbed the stairs and went upstairs.

She had a little torch in her pockets,so she used it to see clearly.

Everything up there was wooden and there were old toys, christmas decorations, old chairs, suitcases and even an old bed and a mattress.

She looked around, walking slowly, and suddenly something caught her attention.

It was small, round and shiny. It was on top
