    Iwasn't singing or humming and neither did I weep. If anything, I was just there, awaiting the denouement; and perhaps that's why the attention was mostly on me rather than on those who deserved it.

    It was his day; his last day to be seen. All eyes should have been on him, but unfortunately, I was the target.

    I would understand it if perhaps they looked at me with pitiful eyes. On occasions like this, it's a common response. I mean after all the man in the casket belonged to me as some would view it. He was my husband.

    But no, The stares were nothing but pitiful. While some portrayed confusion and frustration, most were filled with hatred.

    I know what you are thinking. The mystery was concerned with the question of whether, perhaps I did put a bullet in his head. Well, not that I never thought of it; however, if I am to be honest, in this instance, it wasn't entirely true.

    So why did I not show any signs of hurt if I was not the one who killed him. Under the circumstances, you might assume the worst. But the truth was that after all the agony that I endured from this man for so many years, I had learnt to hide my feelings from the world. Or alternatively, it was just one of those situations where you've been through so much that you are suddenly just numb to everything.

    Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that there weren't any good times. Believe it or not, the man in thr casket was once my whole world. I too was once his everything. However, as you are aware, life is full of surprises.

    We now call on the sister of the deceased.

    The voice was that of the MC as he continued with the program. His older sister was called onto the stage. Like the rest I knew that she was gunning for me. Remember, I did mention that I was the target.

    My brother, an angel in human form ... I felt my ears echo as I listened to her lie in front of the whole community. ... You didn't deserve what happened to you.

    The sound of her repulsive voice echoed in my ears. Although I was sitting down, my knees began
