A Divine Word & Wisdom is a Ministry that seeks to encourage and empower individuals to know, walk, and live-in truth. This book is the first published work of this ministry. These ten essays were talks given at my local church and on other occasions. I put them in book form so that these powerful words and works would give those who venture into these pages confidence in their walk, challenge their beliefs and affirm their fellowship with Christ.

Introduction

Ihad this collection of essays that I had written for various reasons, however they were just sitting on my computer not helping anyone. So, I have compiled them into this book, A Divine Word and Wisdom, Messages from God.

All these essays were inspired by the Holy Spirit, and many given as mission emphasis at my church or given on other occasions as I will point out at the beginning of each chapter, however, some were just inspired works. All are to follow the directive of Jesus to go therefore and teach the world of Me.

My goal is to take as many people with me to heaven as I can, because the devil’s goal is to take as many people with him to hell as he can. I, like the devil never tire of doing the work I have been sent forth to do. The devil convinced a third of the angles of heaven to follow him when he fell; and today he continues to take those who would be saints of God with him to hell. Do you want to spend all eternity in agony?

Incessant heat? To never know peace, calmness, comfort, quietness all the things heaven will be forever. To walk on streets of gold in a perfect climate, to have conversations with the likes of Peter, Paul, Abraham, David, my mom, and dad, maybe your mom, dad, or granny. We all look forward to seeing those we loved and loss one day. But will you be where they are.

The words of these essays or meant to inspire, convict, and get you to say yes to Jesus and no to the Devil. They are meant to drive you to a teacher, pastor, body of believers that will welcome you and surround you with the love and peace of God. These essays are meant to encourage you to get into the word of God and discover Him and His will for your life. ♦

CHAPTER ONE

Embarking on the Journey

This was my first opportunity to present a work given by God. It was January 2016 I believe, and someone other than the Mission President was doing the Mission Emphasis. I thought I could do that; how come she gets to do it and I will not go into all the other thoughts that came to mind. I never said a word to anyone about what I’d thought, however about a month later the Mission President came to me and asked if I would do the next Mission Emphasis and I happily jumped at the opportunity. What we have here is the words I spoke on that day.

Let the Words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O LORD my strength and my redeemer amen.

Embarking on the Jouney

I am to present emphasis on Missions and what can I say that would be shocking, awe inspiring and compelling. In preparing for this opportunity I prayed, read, and thought about what God would have me say to his people. What God gave me was ‘Embarking on the Journey’.

A Missionary is someone who goes out and shares the Good News about Jesus Christ. The simple message is if you believe, accept, and receive Jesus you will be saved. Christians we are Missionaries.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning (John 1). Before the foundation of the earth Jesus was. When God asked who will go, Jesus said I will. Take no thought for what you should eat, drink or what you should wear, because God knows what you have need of, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and these things shall be added unto you (Matt. 6:31-33) Jesus’ journey begin in Heaven. Your journey starts where you are right now.

Your journey is not about traipsing through the African bush or tracking your way through a jungle to some small village. Your journey is what God has placed in your heart and prepared you for. It may start in your home, on your block, at work or even in your Church. The message you are sent to give has been the same one for over 2000 years Jesus. Jesus came down from Heaven and gave his live for our salvation. He who knew no sin became sin. We who are full of sin have been freed from sin and have been given the right to eternal life with God. Don’t be stingy, share; Heaven is big enough for everybody.

Our mission is to go forth and tell the good news, that Jesus is the only way to eternal life John 14:6. Before Jesus ascended (we all know that Jesus went back to Heaven. That is part of the good news. To complete His mission, He had to go back to the Father. Our mission will not be complete until we go home to be with our Heavenly Father) He sent the Disciples with these words, All authority (power) in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go (say this with me) and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, even to the very end of the age. (Matt. 28:18 & 19)

Jesus made four points when He gave the great commission the first being; All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. He was proclaiming to the Disciples and the world that He had taken back the power on earth that Adam had given to Satan in the garden, (say with me taken back the power. Saints write this down Satan only has the power I give him!). This was eternal life. As we recall when Adam ate from the tree of knowledge of good
