I dedicate this work to my family. To my husband of 34 years, Ruben A Alexander. He has always been a source of encouragement to me and was instrumental in helping me realize, through all I was dealing with, he really could not help me but it was an inside job.
To my eldest, Ruben G., my daughter in love, Alisha, and first grandchild, little Sarai, thank you. To my daughters Justine, who listened to me over and over and helped me in ways she cannot imagine and Jessica, who pushed me to give more when I thought I had given all I had.

FOREWORD
Genesis 2:7 says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man and became a living soul.. And the Lord God planted a garden … and there He put man whom He had formed.
Relationships were created by God. The first healthy relationship started with God in the garden. However you cannot possibly have a healthy relationship with Him if you do not know who God is and who you are. In the forthcoming pages, Mrs. Alexander will share some wisdom in order to have a healthy relationship first with yourself. She will walk us through the pages of this book to help us understand ourselves better, take responsibility for our outcomes and develop and sustain healthy relationships with others. The adversary comes to kill, steal and destroy, and the first thing that he tries to destroy is your perception of yourself. God formed you. He created man in His very own image. The enemy is out to tell you that you are nothing, were nothing and will always be nothing. Typically, he does a pretty good job of convincing us of these erroneous opinions of ourselves. The enemy has the ability to completely obliterate us of our good self-image and make us feel hopeless without a healthy relationship with the Creator and ourselves. But the Lord declares that we are more than conquers through Christ Jesus.
We should give thanks for the relationships that God has placed in our paths. Sometimes we do not fully understand the impact relationships have on our lives. Several years ago, a man gave a word on relationships and said, Everybody that you meet and every person that you have a relationship with whether past or present, that person's relationship with you will continue forever.
That statement rings with truth because oftentimes we are not aware of how relationships affect us and how our self-image affects our interactions with others.
It is crucial that we have good relationships with each other. The Bible emphasizes that we should support the weak, be patient towards all men…that none render evil for evil unto any man. (See 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15). We are to support and do for those who are not able to do for themselves. This is not a revelation to suppress you or to discourage you. The Word, pertaining to relationships, is meant to encourage, uplift and to take you to new levels.
We have to encourage healthy relationships all around us. If I see my brother and my sister in a relationship that is moving south, then, out of love, I must go and undergird them and love them through their times of adversity, instead of talking the situation into the ground, saying things like, "I knew it wouldn’t work anyway." Whether at home, in the community or the workplace, all relationships are important. We should strive to make them healthy and keep them
