About this ebook

Poetic Justice is a journey of healing from trauma. This poetry is a document of what it feels like to try and make sense of the emotional ups and downs of life in a world that bombards you with chaos and inconsistency. These works are the lesser offensive observations of what I consider to be a universal subjective observation of North American struggles and ideologies. They are a coping mechanism and a reminder that we are still growing and making progress towards a better humanity. The poems in each section relate the moments where we feel the need to succeed and rise to the challenges we face even though there is a paradoxical tension in society's demand for individual greatness at the expense of collective progress.

    Funny Sacred Water

    Splashing around

    Dirty water

    From the ground

    Dammed water

    Safe and sound

    Get a hose

    Filter it

    Fill the pool

    River run

    Salty sea

    Rain rain come to me

    Pour on the fire

    Fall with desire

    Drink please

    So thirsty

    To churn it out

    A whirlpool

    Tsunami

    Settled into cracks

    Follow the stream Down

    Bathe in it

    Boil it

    Drown

    The iceberg sails Bye

    Nice and cool

    Don’t cry

    Snowfall is so sweet

A blanket of water to eat

A well of water is deep

The pipes they never do sleep

    Hollowed out to carry

    Good Ol’

    Funny sacred water

    Bees and Pollen

    go where you’re needed

    Bring a smile like Seinfeld

And til tomorrow just keep moving on

Even if all you do is make a pilgrimage

    Then you have done it

    To plant a seed

    To grow a tree

    Spectacle

    For the Duke

    Put on your glasses

    It’s time for your classes

    gather around

    Make sure to astound

    A murder of crows

    Circling to feast

    Pecking and hopping

    The leftover beast

From A car on the road

    APlace of Sanctuary

    Space is great

    Acres and lots

But hiding spots are good too

    Like Anne

    They protect

    From invasion

    Of the body

    For the Water

    For the Earth

That Fire is sucking up the oxygen

    People are moving

But it’s a cold hard winter

    Unless they realize.

A little fire would be nice

    Convenient and useful.

    Fire forges and warms.

    Spark of a propeller.

    Is mesmerizing really.

..But be careful of the smoke

    It stings your eyes

    Burns your throat

    And settles in your lungs

    Sometimes a little space

    Is peace

    Existential Question

    The closest you can get

    To create or to destroy

    Is what the scientist asks

    When energy transfers

    Fertilizes the growth

    Uses the heat

    Uses the light

    Uses the water

    Uses the earth

    To formulate

    The new thing

    The cycle continues

    Or it ends

Until you run out of supplies

    Will to I?

    What is E

    E is many things

    All at once
