When I look at a map, all of my favourite places fall onto a single strip of mountains called the Cape Fold. Who would have thought that the arid Cederberg becomes the forests of the Outeniqua at some point? But where is that point and what does it look like? Is it double as magical since it merges two wonderlands? It seemed like no one had attempted to answer these questions about the range in its entirety, and inspiration struck.
