    Passion Book 1

Lisa sighed as she looked at the huge stack of papers she had to file in the next hour before her workday was done. Fucking filing. Lately her predominant feeling was BORED. She was emphatically bored, practically all the time, and filing was the height of her boredom. She stifled a yawn and stretched her arms up over her head. She arched her back against the back of the big black leather chair, stretching her spine. She would need a cup of coffee to keep herself alert for this dance class she was going to after work.

Lisa had signed up for these classes several months ago, basically as a way to combat the boredom she was feeling. For years, she’d toyed with the idea of learning how to dance. Not that anything dramatic happened when they broke up. Actually it was the complete opposite. Around the time they’d been dating for almost two months, she realized that their relationship had grown to be every bit as boring as the other aspects of her life. Just like her boring job and her boring after-work hours spent hanging around her apartment.

But something good did come out of her relationship with Mac, because she finally had the courage to put her name on a list for a dance class series. Around the third week she was dating Mac, the class dates were announced. She’d been wanting to sign up for this class for a very long time. It was an intensive five day series covering five different dance styles, and it always filled up really fast. As soon as the dates were announced, you had to rush to put your name on the list because the spaces were always filled within a day or two. Finally having a partner, she’d jotted her name and Mac’s name down, and was thrilled when she got a confirmation call from the instructor of this exclusive class. Finally—she was in!

Lisa told Mac, and he was not excited at all,
