    About the Author

I dedicate this book to the people who supported my video game streaming career and support my writing career now as well.

    Prologue: Town of Brownsville

Vincent Gray ran fear and terror through the town of Brownsville with every passing night. The people that lived their days turned too weeks and weeks to months waiting for an end to Vincent Gray and his killings throughout the town. Jim, Justin and Emma was the first to come into the path of Vincent Gray upon his return to his abandoned home, Jim almost losing his life. The group set out for answers throughout the town and nearby woods searching for the answers about Vincent Gray and his vendetta. Learning the police have covered up most of the story about him throughout the past as the sheriff was his uncle, they had no choice but to seek more answers from the people who knew him best in town.

The first stop led to Mary Williams who gave him his supernatural strength to be almost unstoppable, but in turn to do her evil bidding as she pleased, but didn’t budge for answers for the group.

Sheriff Gray returned home from his vacation to find Vincent his nephew on a rampage again killing people as he teamed up with Deputy Young to try to stop the killer at large. Sara, Emma’s mom tried warning Emma of the troubles that waited for her in Pine Valley Camp in a dream telepathically as Sheriff Gray wanted them to go there to get away from the troubles of town. They finally cornered Vincent gray in Pine Valley Campground as he was trying to help Emma, Justin and Jim once enemies now seeming on the same side. There attackers Shawn, Jeff and Allen wanted them dead for the trouble they have caused in town in bringing back the soulless man to their town as he killed Shawn’s dad. As requested from Sara, Vincent’s childhood lover he was there to intercept them and get rid of them. Vincent told Sara in doing so she would owe him but never said what.

Sheriff Gray and Deputy Young shot down Vincent Gray in the campground

thinking the nightmare was over finally. Along came a gatekeeper of the cemetery to talk to them as Mary Williams had started her own covent, keeping the souls that belong in heaven or hell with her, as it is breaking the balance of the other side. The gatekeeper wanting his souls back being his job and not being able to get close to Mary Williams because of her signs, glyphs and knowledge of the other world. He places the dagger of souls in the soulless man’s grave as he calls forth god’s power to help awaken the soulless man from his grave to go after her to collect his souls for both sides. The lightning hit the dagger awaking him from his slumber. Both sides have now helped out a little for the souls in return the soulless man walks again to collect.

Chapter 1 The Turn of Events

At that moment they heard a loud crack that sounded kinda like thunder but it was different, it was a rumbling sound coming closer and closer. They slowly started making their way down the hillside as they got half way listening again as it was getting louder now. It was coming what seemed to be from the roadway as they watched. Then it became more clear what it was as the glass pack from the car popped as fire blowed out the exhaust pipes as it backfired, as the car was speeding really fast as the SS Chevelle burned rubber down the road past the graveyard as they watched the car driving by as Sara spoke.

Black Demon…Vincent Gray has returned.. The soulless man is alive.. Sara explained.

The roaring sounds of police sirens could be heard as they were coming fast. The thunder from the rain clouds was still cracking here and there but there was no rain as the storm had passed by. I could see the bronco from Sheriff Gray as it appeared past the tree lining flying down the road as to their surprise wasn’t chasing Vincent who just barreled by at high speed as the sheriff pulled into the cemetery. He boxed in Sara’s car so she couldn’t leave as he got out of the car looking up seeing them standing up by Vincent’s grave. The dirt was all pulled out as he walked up the hill noticing it, as he looked inside the grave standing beside it not seeing Vincent inside.

Where is he? Asked Sheriff Gray looking to Sara, then to Jim, Emma and Justin confused.

They didn’t really know what to say. Everything that would come out of their mouth would be a lie to him. Nobody would believe a man just hopped out of his grave and went for a joy ride in his car. Sara looked to them as she then looked over at Sheriff Gray, there was no avoiding this she just told the truth.

He woke up and pulled the dirt off..left for Brackett you just missed him in his car.. Replied Sara as he looked at her dumbfounded. He shook his head then looked at her, then took his hat off scratching his head.

Ok..I’m gonna level with you guys alright..because right now you sound like your nuts. Sheriff Gray explained.

She is telling you the truth..there was some guy here in a business suit..I don’t know who he was and he didn’t say..we think he was some sort of gatekeeper because he just disappeared into thin air. Replied Jim looking to Sheriff Gray.

Sheriff Gray shook his head as he squeezed the CB.

I’m gonna need some back up down here at the cemetery over. Said Sheriff Gray.

I find it very super hard to believe a man came alive from the dead and pulled the dirt off him which by the way is very heavy and a lot at that, so he can go for a cruise…is he coming back to go to sleep? Replied Sheriff Gray joking.

I didn’t think you would believe us.. Explained Sara.

Umm..No from the looks of things you guys dug up a body and put him somewhere, making it look like he came back from the dead so I have more shit to deal with from the media…so where is the body? Asked Sheriff Gray as another cop car pulled up as it was Deputy Young.

Young slowly made his way up the hillside to the grave as he watched ahead of him looking at the grave kinda shocked as he got up to it looking inside then to Sheriff Gray. What in the world is going on? Asked Deputy Young looking to the sheriff.

Well, according to these folks Vincent Gray came back from the dead and went for a ride in his car to Brackett. Explained Sheriff Gray looking to young.

What?..listen Vincent Gray is dead. As Young looked to the grave.

From the looks of this you took his body and put it somewhere which is unbelievable I would have never thought you would do that. Said Deputy Young.

It wasn’t us do we look like we are muddy or dirty digging holes plus having a shovel nearby and having a dead guy smell all over us? Said Emma looking to them both.

It was just raining it could have washed off missy. who knows where you left the shovel. Explained Sheriff Gray to Emma.

They all sighed in disbelieve themselves. It wasn’t like them to lie so why would they lie also they both knew about Vincent Gray and the witch that gave him ability’s making him stronger more dangerous but they didn’t believe he could come back from the dead maybe because of her.

I have no choice I’m sorry…Young cuff them..turn around all of you..You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at any time…You had your rights read to you any questions? Explained Sheriff Gray as he cuffed Sara as Deputy Young cuffed the rest.

What else is there to say?..we already said the truth Explained Justin as they all began walking down to the cars. Emma and Sara was put into the back of the sheriff’s bronco as Jim and Justin was put in Deputy Young’s vehicle. They were all clearly mad that they didn’t listen to a word they said as both officers got into their cars.

You’re gonna be sorry when you find out he is alive. Sara said through the bars that separated the front and back seat.

Dead men don’t walk Sara your seeing things, we will get this all sorted at the police station. Gray then turned over his car as he looked up as he thought he saw a man in a suit standing next to Vincent’s grave as he looked back quickly but was gone. They all started pulling out heading for the police station.

Young looked in his rearview mirror looking to Jim and Justin.

So your gonna go with the whole dead are walking thing?..You know we gunned him down and put him in the ground he was pretty dead..so why don’t you just tell me where he is? Explained Young looking back to them on and off.

We told you already..he woke up somehow..got the dirt off him and left in his car for Brackett or atleast that’s what we think since he is heading that direction. Said Jim looking up to him.

How?..like just saying I know Sheriff Gray isn’t gonna believe a lick of this but I’ll level with you being just us in here..why do you think that? Asked Young looking back to them driving.

There was this man in the graveyard..he was talking this babble about needing souls..You want the inside scoop Young..the killer your looking for is Mary Williams..you know those body’s that are being stabbed and left for dead everywhere it’s her collecting the souls. said Justin looking to him. He was a little shocked to learn all this, but they had no way to prove it as he spoke.

Well, that’s a good story, but it’s just that a story..you have no hard evidence but a mysterious man in a graveyard..that doesn’t hold up. Explained Young as he thought about the cellar they was in, as Vincent was in a diagram on a wall wondering if maybe that might have woke him up when the team went down erasing everything as he drove.

Come on..you know we are telling the truth we didn’t dig up any killer and take his body for a cruise…he is walking. Explained Jim as he was just mad they was being taken in for no reason at all.

Well, don’t worry, we will know if your telling the truth or not because you all will be taking a lie detector test..so I hope your not lying. Explained young as he looked back to them driving through Brownsville for the police station.

I watched the same car that was in the papers flying down the road with fire blowing out of the exhaust pipes.. I know what I saw I’m not stupid and I’m sure I’m not dreaming I’m talking to you. Said Jim as he couldn’t move at all as the cuffs were tight.

The vehicles pulled behind the police station as they both came to a stop as they both got out and opened the doors as they all got out of the cruisers.

Come on.. Said Sheriff Gray as they all went inside together as the barracks was bustling with people as they looked around at the people as they was working quickly as a female officer came up to Sheriff Gray.

I need to speak with you now. She said in a serious tone. Young take them downstairs to lock up. We’ll question them one at a time. Said Sheriff Gray as he walked with the woman. They followed Young walking through the busy barracks. You could see the paperwork and local papers of the killings that had been happening was on their desk it was a top priority to solve as Jim and Emma seen them walking by as they went downstairs.

Young unlocked the bar doors as he opened the door. Get in.. he said as Emma, Justin, Sara and Jim walked inside the bar as Young uncuffed them all taking all the cuffs as he closed the doors.

I’ll be back for one of you very soon and we will get started with the questions..get to the bottom of this nonsense. Explained Young as he passed the guard going back upstairs.

They all sat down on the bench that was inside the cell as they looked to one another then around. They couldn’t believe where they was and why they was in here, more like right time and wrong time all in one.

This is complete bullshit..we are not lying and when we all pass this lie detector test which we will they will look like fools and have to let us go anyway…they have nothing on us. Explained Sara as Jim yawned.
