Chapter 1 Brownsville
The town was restless after a long night of being scared for what was to come next. The drug dealer that ran the casino was gone. The town had to repair and recover from the devastation caused by the demons. Though to the public it was just gangs. They weren’t going to keep the casino, being a reminder of what happened to the town every time. Firefighters and medical staff treated the wounded and put out the flames of cars burning. Tow trucks dragging away the charred cars that were in the parking lot. They tried to get the town back to normal, taping off the casino with caution tape with a letter on the door for being torn down soon. Most of the squad cars went back to base and resumed their normal activity, thinking the worst was over.
They sent Sara home because it was very late and everything was under control, so there was no need for a lot of people at the scene. When Sara got home, she was very stressed and scared all at once. She didn’t know how the kids were doing, but she knew what took place in front of her. She poured a glass of wine, taking a drink, looking up at the cemetery through the back window. The thought about how much had gone on since she was in school, how much things had changed, just kept her mind racing. Things didn’t seem to be going away, but getting worse by the years. When would it end? She thought in her head as the front door busted open with Emma, Jim, and Justin.
There were so many conversations going on all at once. Sara couldn’t understand any of them as they were yelling at each other, then she had enough.
Shut up!
Sara yelled, glared at them all as they got silent quickly, looking at her.
Now does someone, just one, want to explain to me what happened? You know what, Jim, just tell me,
said Sara, walking into the living room sitting down in the chair with her glass of wine. They all followed, sitting down on the couch looking at her, fidgeting, still being under the adrenaline of watching the fight. Jim took a deep breath, getting his composer back.
I don’t know where to start. The Soulless Man showed up at Mary’s old place with Rick, the guy that ran the casino. They fought head to head, but Rick opened this portal to hell to get help against The Soulless Man. Well, Mason Thompson the old killer of Brownsville came through the portal, and was gonna fight Vincent to, but he didn’t even get far and Vincent killed him with his head just rolling off, his body turning to dust. This other dude called Night Stalker came through the hell portal as well, helping Vincent. The huge guy, around six-foot-eight, emerged from the portal Meer. He was a demon lord from the fifth circuit. Just so much happened in a short amount of time,
Jim told Sara.
But that’s not all, Vincent has been killing his soul collectors up here in Brownsville for years. People that have sold their souls to the devil for whatever purpose and try to get what they wanted, those souls for hell were living right here in Brownsville this whole time! So people like Mary Williams and more have been giving souls to this man,
said Jim, ecstatic about the situation.
Sara took another drink of her wine, trying to process everything he said. So there is more than one person this time back from hell? Sara felt very confused about the situation.
I have seen enough baffling shit over the years. I could believe the portal part by now. So you have a demon lord named Meer, and a guy named Night Stalker that has both escaped hell to come up here. Night Stalker is helping Vincent and Meer is trying to kill them both?
said Sara, scratching her head with her other hand, taking this all in.
Yes, that is about all of it. I have no clue where they all are now because we left. You know, not wanting to get caught in all.
Said Jim, Emma went to get them all sodas coming back handing them both one. They all opened the cans, taking a drink being thirsty.
I’m sure the cops have found them already. Vincent’s car is like a beacon for police,
said Sara, taking a drink of her wine finishing it.
Down at the crime scene at the casino, Sara was half right. Vincent was with the police, which had the news and citizens wanting a word with them, but they couldn’t even get close to hear what was being said. The police blocked off every way of getting close to the casino for safety reasons. Micheal and Sheriff Young looked to Vincent, Thomas and Night Stalker as they stood beside Black Demon.
So you said hell has opened up or hell is here on earth. You wanna explain that to me? I mean, everyone on that side is from hell, anyway. Well, I don’t know about that guy whoever that is,
said Micheal trying to figure out what was going on. Young was in the same boat, he had no idea what was going on or what they were even talking about.
Vincent looked over at Night Stalker, then at Thomas. Thomas just shook his head walking in front of the car looking at Young and Micheal.
The demon lord Meer has come up from hell. His intentions are not clear yet but he would like The Soulless Man dead again for killing his soul collectors here in Brownsville. Night Stalker over there, is from hell also and has come up to help with getting Meer back down to where he belongs,
said Thomas. Micheal, and Young, trying to comprehend this and accept it.
So you’re telling me we have a demon walking the streets of Brownsville and just wants The Soulless Man back in hell? I don’t see the problem here since Vincent you’re supposed to be in hell,
said Young looking at Vincent. Vincent took a step closer, staring at Young. Young then put his hand on his gun, looking at him.
It’s not that easy. He just wants Vincent in hell because he killed the demons here in Brownsville that were serving him souls. With Meer on earth, he can bring anybody from hell back to do his evil bidding. We need to act fast and fix the balance before it gets worse. We don’t need him getting another person to collect souls for him in Brownsville,
said Thomas, looking at them.
I’ll go along with your story for now till I can find out more of the truth. Well, because I don’t trust people from hell if you get my drift. If Vincent is being pursued by this man, it’s not safe for you to stay in town and put others in danger of his arrival,
said Young suggesting leaving town temporarily until they know more about the situation and the person hunting them.
That would probably be best for now,
said Thomas as he turned around, heading for the car.
Get inside. We are leaving,
said Thomas. Night Stalker and Vincent got back into the car, looking ahead at them.
Stay by a CB, will give the word when we know something!
Yelled Micheal, Black Demon turned over as the car spun around leaving down the road as the glass pack cracked behind them from the exhaust.
Get the demolition crew in here today and knock this building down. Things are gonna get back to normal around here very quickly,
said Young to a police officer as he hurried along to pass the word and get things rolling.
Let’s go to the police station,
suggested Michael.
Maybe we can find some information on Rick Davis and check if he has a criminal record that could be linked to all that has happened.
Young sighed, then nodded as they both got into their own vehicles, heading to the police station.
Sara, Jim, Emma, and Justin were watching the local news to see what was happening downtown with the reporter outside the
