As music pumped from the speakers of an old motorhome, I couldn’t help smiling.
It’s going to be a good night, I thought.
It was November 2010, and I was at a party with my boyfriend, Brayden*, then 17, for his mate’s birthday.
On his parents’ farm on the Mornington Peninsula, more than 100 people had gathered inside a run-down chicken shed.
Four storeys high, the ceiling was exposed and materials on the walls were coming loose.
