t was the first day of school and Carla and Lola were excited to see their friends. They were starting third grade at Creek Academy, an all-girls boarding school. They had been assigned Mrs. Quimby this year. Over the summer, she had sent everyone a welcome letter telling them a little about herself and how much fun they were going to have in her classroom. Plus, Lola’s older sister had had her when she was in third grade, so they knew she was very kind.
