Aiming for Perspicuous Perspicacity - Revere Perkins
Roots shun ascending
Roots shun ascending to reach the rain
Rather sink to seek waters’ secret spaces,
Exploring unseens, to touch, but not to be entombed
By consummate, smothering embrace.

Before day‘s light declares
Its standing in a shimmering world.
Careful, cautious extensions
Growing into structures
Able to encompass
The furthest extent
Of inner space and time.

Where reason is bound to fail?
Or does she not even suspect,
Or care the reason
