The Xenosphere is a fictional and theoretical story, a timeline, based upon the accounts and the narrative, behind a series of personal testimonies and private conversations, collated together, to give an overall picture of the mundane destabilising thought patterns of unwarranted intrusions and sometimes unexplained random and volatile emotions, exacerbating the grief and the sensitivities of the empathetic mind. When Driscol Davenport decides that he wants to end his life, somewhat prematurely, albeit through the assisted means of euthanasia, little does he know or even understand the consequences and the repercussions of what such unpredictable actions will have upon himself, and even those around him, and especially upon that of his long term partner and girlfriend Lucy Hemingway.

As a young boy at school, I always found myself playing with words & rhymes especially when it came to writing poetry, it wasn't the fact that I was especially gifted or talented but it was mainly my enthusiasm, and style & ability to be creative with words and rhyme in my own unique way, although in this day and age some may regard this as a small degree of autism but I’m not quite certain about that, as many of my peers could be just as challenging and inventive about writing prose. When I left school at the age of 16 I attended dance school and was as far removed from literature as anyone could possibly be, but I always kept a diary and also decided to study English Language part time. During break time and in between classes once again I would find myself writing & exploring various themes using rap, rhyme and spoken word to amuse myself and my fellow classmates with. At that time I didn't take it too seriously but I loved the fact that through expression along with the effect of creative writing was becoming an inspiration to me as well as a positive tool for expression.

THE SINGULARITY

There are over 7.8 billion people populating the world, all directly or indirectly connected by six degrees of separation, and this is just the story of 2 them, somewhere in a Leafy Suburb in outer London. Let’s pretend for one second that we never met, Just one second, Yeah look just indulge me for one moment, But how I can pretend that we’ve never met, when I’ve practically known you for ages, Why do you always spoil my fun, its’ fuckin’ frustrating an’ annoying when you do this, Do what, Do that, like so obviously being disrupting my vibe right now, Look Driscol I know you, so shut the fuck up and get over ya’self, anyway you should know that this pretence game is just not my thing, look why don’t you just admit it, Admit what, Admit that you don’t love me.

Yes Lucy, but we don’t have a reason to be, we have nothing, its’ not real, Well that’s just because you’re a complete fuckin’ air head and a fantasist, and I just happen to be a feisty down to earth realist, look if this isn’t working for you I can just go, Lucy please, please stop rationalising every minute detail, just keep an open mind and indulge me for one minute please, Okay I’m listening, Ok, so we have limited resources, Yeah and, And its’ either gonna’ be world war 3 yeah, or wait for it, new world 0.4 by now, or a zombie apocalypse, or Armageddon, or the xenosphere.

What the fuck is a Xenosphere! Its’ not a thing, its’ actually a place, you know like the last stop shop if you like, Last stop shop for what, For death, for the dying, the end of life, you know a smooth transition to the afterlife, from one place to the next, A smooth what, what the fuck is the xenosphere Driscol, coz right now your scaring me, Its’ a modern scientific clinic, A clinic, For what!

Look! We can both end it there Lucy, End what, End this! We can both end this, everything, Do you mean suicide, yes! No! I mean kind of, its’ a kind of euthanasia clinic, Zion’s brother told me about it some time ago, an’ so, Well I did some of my own diggin’ an’ research, an’ its’ a state of the art installation, that we can both sign up too, So your saying that you want me and you to have a suicide pact, yes! No! Oh why the fuck don’t you get it, what I’m tryin’ to say is, Oh I get it Driscol, are you fucking nuts or something, and who the fuck is Zion’s brother.

Oh’ you know thingamajig’ what’s his name, Zion’s brother, oh I can’t remember his friggin’ name, but anyway that’s not important right now, let’s just sit down an’ ave’ a cup of tea, and see what our options are Lucy, Options! Your fucking serious aren’t you, your dead fucking serious, Yes, yes I am, But why now, why this, Because, Coz what and don’t say coz you love me coz I’m not buying that one Driscol, Lucy look, the world is absolutely bonkers, insane, as the song says, its’ a mad, mad world, and I just thought that we, well that you and I could well yuh’ know, go together.

But what if I don’t want to go now or together, what if I wanna live, or fuck around, or join the new world order, or do whatever the fuck I want, and what if I’m not ready to die for anyone, or for any fucking reason, did you ever think about that or are you even fucking thinking straight, state of the art assisted suicide, fuck me, thanks, but no thank you, but you know one thing Dris’, you we’re right in saying I don’t know you, coz I don’t and I don’t wanna pretend anymore yeah, Oh Lucy don’t be like that, Like what, Its’ my fucking life and I like fucking living it tah’ thank you very much.

So what if the Russians and Americans wanna blow each other the fuck up, or the green gases are choking us to death, or the fucking environment is polluted C02 emissions, coz right now I’ve ended up with the twat, who happens to be a fucking plonka’, who thinks that I might,
