Dr. Octavia Kincy-Moten

Dr. Octavia A. Kincy-Moten has earned a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology; Master of Arts, Business Management (Human Resources Emphasis); Master of Science, Elementary Education; and Doctor of Education, Leadership in Higher Education, thus graduating cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude twice, respectively. As a testament to her entire existence, Octavia will forever be grateful for also becoming a School of Evangelism graduate following an intensive two years of study. As a professionally licensed educator, Dr. Kincy-Moten has been in the field of education for over twenty-five years. In 2005, Octavia co-founded Reuben McCall Sr. High School’s Class of 1985 Memorial Scholarship Foundation, and today, contributes its success to none other than the Holy Spirit! Currently, Octavia is a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences and Diamond Life Member of the Asheville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. On any given day, when asked or being interviewed, Octavia will chuckle at her response to the question and/or statement, “Tell me about yourself, or what can you offer us?” In some form or fashion, Octavia will respond, “I’ve been blessed to have enjoyed dual-careers as an educator and entertainer as I have authored, brand marketed, choreographed, coached, consulted, copyrighted, danced, edited, founded, instructed, mass media promoted, mentored, presided over, published, spearheaded, supervised, and trademarked for both public and/or private sectors.” With this being the 3rd published book credited to her name, Octavia has not and will never take full credit for any of her accomplishments or publications!! The 1st book was published in 2007, and within this fourteen year writing span, Dr. Kincy-Moten has never wavered with crediting the source from whence her help cometh! (KJV) Psalm 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121:2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. “Without the Holy Spirit, I cannot do anything!”
