I dedicate this book and my success in life to my

grandmother Irma Jean Compton. Her relentless

will has inspired me for as long as I can remember.

Thank you for always being my angel. I love

and miss you to heaven and beyond.

but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."

    About the Author

    Acknowledgments

    I’d like to thank:

    • Jesus Christ, for blessing me throughout my life, including all the hard times, and always bringing me out on top; providing the insight and ability to write this book to help others; and continuing to bless each and every person who comes in contact with this book.

    • My grandmother Irma Jean Compton for always being positive, even when we were homeless and told she only had a short time to live, and showing me what love is and how persistence can get me further every day by not sitting around doing nothing. She was always putting others’ needs above her own. And finally she taught me to never cry in front of others.

    • My mom, Charlene Compton, for all the beatings for stuff I did and didn’t do that scared me enough to not do it. She made me a responsible man and helped me understand that forgiving is not about others but ourselves. She was teaching me that making a positive impact on the world is important and I was to always put God first.

    • Allen James Compton (AKA Alstria Jayden James Compton), my son, for saving my life and making me realize the true meaning of 1 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV). When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. Most importantly, he showed me what my why is. Because of him, I now know how to love beyond myself.

    • My aunt, Dameron Compton, for always being my other mother (AKA my day-one supporter). She always had my back and supported me when I felt like the world was against me. She was teaching me life lessons and being that confidant.

    • My Uncle Heath, who taught me how a man provides for his family and must take care of the women, as most of my family were women.
