John Anderson
I'm an aspiring author who floats on with the rest of the clouds in the sky. I'm not really sure where my place is but I look for it every day. It's an adventure in itself I guess. Along the way I enjoy the outdoors, sports and music.

But at the End of the Day…It’s King Leo’s Pride
1.psdKing Leo
King Leo, yawns: As the rays from the morning sun touch my face, I’m embraced by the love of life and the dawn of a new day, a chance to test my strength and skills of life survival! Because my lady’s light waits for no one. But she lets me knows that her love is always mine. And she welcomes me with open arms. Thanks, my love. I’m awakened by her warm kisses. It looks like a beautiful day today! (He makes kissing sounds, then walks away. He looks at the cold black stone that looks like glass and starts climbing, kump kump kump.) I remember not long ago, when I first tried to make this climb (continues climbing, kump kump kump), it was so hard for me then. My father, King Leo, always told me, in order to be a true king, I first must master this climb. I’ll be king, and being king means that you have to be strong.
(Continues climbing, kump kump kump) Because only the strong survive and rule. (Reaches the top of the pride rock) I was faster than before (laughs).I surprise myself at times. (He looks around with the wind blowing through his mane.)
Narrator: As he gazes out, he overlooks the view of waterfalls falling from pink-and-yellow clouds with a hint of white as if they were magnolia leaves floating on a slow-moving stream. And the mist from the waterfalls creates drops of rain that falls on the meadows that disappear into the seven-foot running bamboo that stretches far as the eye can see. Hills and valleys are filled with green grass, plants, and flowers that dance from the sweet dew that’s blown from the bamboo. And there’s a tree. Not like any of the other trees. No! This particular tree is set in the middle of all the kingdoms that reach to the heavens. The sky is filled with creatures with wings that have vibrant colors, each one with different jewels and colors that when the sunlight hits them, they sparkle while humming sweet songs of love that fills the valley from end to end. In this valley all of the creatures inhabiting it live in one harmony.
King Leo: It was many moons ago when my father told me, when the herds come feeding with their new young, it’s the start of a new season, a season in which I’ll be honored and embraced. Now that day has come for me to continue the respect of my father’s pride. This day I will be king. My word, the word of my clan, hear my pride. I am King Leo (roars, music sound effects play, etc.).
Narrator: And the herds of the most extraordinary creatures, big and tall, some looking different from others’ forearms and legs. With horns of different colors, short and small, with long strings of hair, by the twos, they come with their new offspring. They come to graze on the sweet green grass and drink from the marshlands of the bamboo and the nectar from the full-bloomed plants and flowers. Every tree is filled with life and songs of angels (music and effects play, etc.).
2.psdKingu
Kingu looks up and yells, breaking Leo’s thoughts.
Kingu: Leo, the herds are returning with their young.
Leo: So I see, Kingu. Round up everyone to welcome the herd and their young.
Kingu: Yes! Leo, will there be anything else?
Leo: Yes, that’s King Leo.
Kingu: Not until the falling light. (They laugh.)
Leo: Wait, Kingu. Have the Sha’mush arrived yet?
Kingu: Not at the moment.
Leo: That’s odd! Because there’s never been a feeding before the Sha’mush arrives.
Kingu: A feeding—what are you talking about, Leo?
Leo: The herd is being attacked! (Roars)
Kingu: What? (Roars)
3.psdO’annes
O’annes and Kishar come running.
O’annes: Troops! (Roars)
Kishar: What’s wrong, Kingu?
Kingu: The herds are being attacked.
O’annes: What shall we do, Leo, when the troops arrive?
Leo: We must hurry before he attacks their young. Kishar, stay here. (Jumps into battle formation.)
Kishar: Who’s he?
Leo: No time to explain. We must move now!
Kingu: Don’t worry yourself, O’annes. Let’s go!
Leo: Nishar! Like the wind save their young.
Kishar: This is odd. I’ve never heard of anything like this in any season but, of all seasons, the one where Leo takes charge of things. Seems to me it’s out of the ordinary. This is strange. I’ve…l’ve…l’ve never seen this. Something is wrong. I must go. (She takes off running at the coming of the herds.)
4.psdNi’nib
Ni’nib: Who are you? You know it’s forbidden to feed before the arrival of the Sha’mush, you cur!
An’lb (a wolflike creature): Who are you to be questioning me? So I’m a cur! (He then howls and charges towards Ni’nib.)
Ni’nib: Slash!
5.psdAn’lb
An’lb: Swoosh!
Ni’nib: (She steps back!) Slash! Slash!
An’lb: Swoosh! Swoosh! (He bites!)
Ni’nib: (She blocks, then kicks!)
An’lb: (Thinks to himself) I see the Calvary coming. I must make haste.
Ni’nib: Slash! Slash!
An’lb: Swoosh! (He bites.) Swoosh!
Ni’nib takes a small hit, knocking her off-balance. Swoosh!
An’lb: I’m warning you, there will be a later! (Howls and then takes off.)
Ni’nib: Yes! There will be a later (She gathers herself from the mistaken trip as Leo and the others reach her.)
Leo: Ni’nib, are you all right?
Ni’nib: Yes! Leo, I’m fine. It’s just a scratch.
O’annes: Who was that?
Ni’nib: That scoundrel didn’t say who he was!
Kingu: That mutt!
Leo: Calm down, Kingu.
O’annes: That’s right, Kingu. Get mad!
Leo: Now is not the time, O’annes.
Ni’nib: That’s odd because this scent is unknown to me, as if it’s just appeared from nowhere.
Kingu: That’s not possible!
O’annes: You see, I see, but we don’t see. You can’t see me. You can’t see me (laughs).
Ni’nib: (Roars) I’m going to put a leech on your face, O’annes. (She begins to smile.)
Leo: Wait! He’s right. It’s like magic. I want everyone to remember this scent.
Kingu: I have it, Leo.
Ni’nib: How can I forget it?
Leo: Remember this thing so the next time we get this scent, we will know who it is.
Up comes Kishar.
Kishar: What was it?
Leo: What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay back.
O’annes: Leo, we must return to the herds.
Kingu: Ni’nib, here, let me help you.
Leo: Ni’nib, now tell me what happened between you two? (Ni’nib
