The book Imperium of Love and Sympathy is the result of a long-term perception and observation of the human existence by a successful TV reporter and presenter who has completed hundreds of reportages in which she dealt with various human destinies. After the banks canceled her successful bureau, which she had just gotten into the European structures, she grabs the steering wheel of a seven-meter-long caravan and leaves her country to write a beautiful piece from the perspective of her soul. Eva erná became an investigative TV reporter and presenter, and for her work, she won awards from viewers as the Best TV Reporter / Department News / the Most Watched Television, as well as the Best Presenter of Current Affairs Programs in Slovakia (2000, 2001). She was interested in societal themes, human rights, and human stories. She was always on the side of the citizen, which she proved every day through her headline news reports. In addition to her career, Eva erná devoted herself to charitable activities and targeted assistance to people, cooperating on or creating her own activities. Her grand project: the Key to Life, addressed both domestic and foreign public. Awards She is a holder of the 2012 Slovak of the Year Award in the Charity category. Michal, my uncle, you have always inspired my perspective on life/inspired me through your perspective on life; how to live it with passion. I am grateful you are the way you are, and I am grateful for your care. My dreams would be not be as big/grand as they are without you.

Rastík, thank you for all the lovely moments we shared, for those when you were my shoulder to cry on/my rock and those through which we both learned. I also thank grandma Maria with all my heart.

INTRODUCTION

Many pages of the book you are holding had been half-written for several years. My head was bursting with ideas, but when I would sit down at my computer and put my fingers on the keyboard, they usually went stiff and motionless. I was simply unable to put my ideas into words. I could not figure out why. I had experienced so much and knew exactly what I wanted to write about, but something halted my efforts.

I met thousands of people who confessed their personal wounds, pains, sorrows, and troubles to me. I deciphered their complicated situations, having gone through a lot myself and felt that I was qualified to write a book with the aim to help, motivate, support, and show/of helping, motivating, supporting, and showing them the way. The wise Universe, however, made it clear that the right time had not yet arrived. Whether you believe me or not, I also had to live a bit more, to understand, and to mature. I am grateful for the experiences life presented me—not all of them pleasant, but only through them, was I able to grow and open up to spirituality. I accepted everything that came my way in order to become the person I am today. Spirituality is the awareness of what exists inside of us and outside of us.

I worked on this book in various places around Europe. It was my dream voyage to travel via caravan, by plane and car. I wrote pages of this book everywhere I could find tranquility and love and where I was able to connect with my soul, the love of the Universe, and the presence of angels.

Every country has beautiful, energetically splendid places. How we feel within our country is up to each one of us. S/he who joins the path of love and understanding knows, where s/he feels good. For me, it’s nature, the woods, forested regions or seaside settings.

With this book, I wish to lovingly touch your soul, to caress our bodies and faces through rituals, and to allow sufficient time to clarify the importance of beautiful thoughts, of changing ones perspective on oneself, one’s life, and the people around us.

I dealt with spiritual questions or deliberations in my first book. I contemplated based on the wisdom I had acquired at the time. With the hindsight of several years, I had arrived at many answers. And I believed in them as I could test their veracity on myself. I consider my knowledge/awareness to be at the peak of conscious perception of my I am at this moment, at this point in time, even tough I have yet to reach the summit. Nonetheless, I feel that I can share and impart to you many perspectives and messages which might contribute to achieving fulfillment in your lives, to opening yourself up to love and joy, and especially, to living life passionately. Your path is clear—first and foremost—start with yourself.

It is undoubtedly true that any effort to care for ones external appearance is meaningless without possessing inner joy or working on ones thoughts and mental state. In such a scenario, we see only a walking skeleton covered with flesh and a mask for a face. With empty, vacant, spiritless bodies, they roam around the planet. Awakening, the conscious discovery of ones essence can be a precious rendezvous with the true self. The sun shines equally upon us all, yet people fail to walk further. The time of awakening is here.

Welcome to the lines of my book. I dearly wish to share with you the best of my thoughts, which traverse through my heart, caressed by my soul and by the angels who have always been at my side when I needed them. Each of these letters have been written with love. Enjoy!

WHEN TIME ASKED ME

Hey, you, stop and turn around!

Hi, do we know each other? I don’t recall.

Don’t you recognize me? I was there when your countdown began.

Hmm, really? So why did you stop me midway and why now?

To ask how you are doing.

I’m wonderful. In any case, I’m doing the best that I can. I’m enjoying myself and love it here. I’m glad I came and am even satisfied, that I am precisely here. But I don’t understand these questions. You simply show up here, I usually don’t discuss my life with just anybody. Why should you be an exception?

I am your Time and am entitled to ask because I flow; I’m counting down, if you haven’t noticed . . .

I see, but you go by for everyone. You’re Time; it’s your nature. So be at ease. I am too. I go on because I have not yet experienced everything I wished so much to have experienced. I haven’t seen all that I have longed to see, and I haven’t felt what I have yearned to feel.

I know where you began but will not reveal your end.

You know what? No need, because I don’t believe in endings. And now, pardon me, I’ve got to go, as you have said yourself, my time is passing by. I am going to live it to the fullest as I always have.

SPIRITUALITY IS PURE PASSION

Spirituality is not religion, so I will not write about any religion. You see, I am convinced that a person can create one’s own religion and carry one’s church inside oneself. One doesn’t need extraordinary, or even ordinary, buildings in order to develop one’s spiritual world. Still, it is a blessing when a wise man, capable of inspiring and encouraging people on their life’s path preaches in a church.

I have always been fascinated by how it is, that there are eight billion of us, and yet each of us is unique. Irrespective of whether we are religious or not, many of us sense that there is something greater—an extraordinary secret, unfathomable and yet perceivable/ we cannot grasp it, but we sense it is there. My perception of this secret is delightful. I have beautiful experiences that belong only to me. I have encountered them in recent years, on my path.

Today, I am aware of what the loving Universe was doing for me; how it was pushing me forward to allow me to connect with my higher self, to awake to the higher consciousness of my own identity; to understand that I am a part of a magnificent Love. I am light and a witness to the evolution of existence we all partake in. It is upon us whether we set upon the path of love and open up to a higher consciousness, or whether we keep ourselves low, as many nowadays do. We always have two options: to raise ourselves up to the light or to dwell in a labyrinth of recurrent scenarios, self-doubt, and negative thinking, with which we nurture completely different energies. Meanwhile, it’s so simple:: a desire to change one’s thinking is all that is required.

Spirituality is a means by which to perceive our spiritual world, our spiritual experiences, and growth in the domain, which forms our integrity. The universe is aware of you, even if you think it isn’t. Every single one of us is part of a real, pure, earthly, and ethereal miracle. We are part of an Existence, which may surpass us, but is imperfect without us. Each of us is important; yes, even those of whom you wouldn’t think it.

Spirituality is made up of our spiritual experience and the way we choose to develop it. I am convinced, that if we realized and admitted it once and for all, we would finally cease to fear what happens next. We would passionately surrender each day to a glorious spirituality, not only in soul, which somehow does so without any effort on our part because it lives in it’s own world, but also with our minds, and our hearts. Anyone who has traveled a path of transformation knows why s/he worships the Creator, God, Existence, the Isness, all who are above us, with such love, humility, and respect.

I have arrived at my own awareness, and let me say from where I stand, that it is, it exists, and it is magnificent. I understand the connections between heaven and planet Earth much more now than I did before I began to write, which is why I would like to take this moment to caress you, hug you, and to assure you that all is well. Everything is truly as it should be. Let us stand still for a moment, close our eyes, and become aware that we ARE. I hope you can consecrate this ritual with a small sconce, a pure-white, burning candle. Beautiful and pure in soul; this is the essence of each one of us.

Disconnect from all disruptions. Lie down on the grass. Don’t worry the earth isn’t as cold as you think. You will not catch a cold. In it’s depths, it always maintains a stable temperature just like we do. Relax and absorb the awareness of your presence on planet Earth — you within yourself. Just be. Inhale, exhale, and transmute all that burdens us immediately into love. Listen to life, to the natural world that surrounds us. Once we finally regain the ability to listen to the rustling of the leaves, the whispers of the grass when we walk on it with our bare feet, if we are patient enough to observe the marching of ants, the flight of a tiny fly, the conversation of birds, the movement of clouds in the sky, we will know, that we are meant to be here and that we have come here to experience it all through the senses, which are our gifts, through our emotions, our heart, our very own soul.

We all have a mission. Our mission is to live to the best of our abilities. With everything we have undergone and everything yet to come, it is our mission to keep living and becoming a better person here on Earth, in the center of our being, and in our thoughts. Life in itself is not complicated. It wasn’t that long ago when nothing burdened us at all; we just laughed and played.

We are the ones who built our own world! If we don’t like it, no one else can change it except us. All it takes is desire. Desire is a great power; desire is the power to decide. Once we have desire, we are able to move forward. There will always be various obstacles obstructing our path, but desire is the foundation of everything, and decisions permeate everything—the essential building blocks, no matter what the circumstances are. Allowing spirituality to bloom inside of us is the most beautiful of pleasures because it comes bearing love. There is never enough love, and we can never have enough of it because the most precious love we have ever felt is rooted deep inside of us, irrespective of our character or personality. This is who we are. Love is our essence. Our purpose is to endeavor to become a better person, to develop our skills, talents we were bestowed with, but also our emotional intelligence. Try to be helpful to others. Everyone has a purpose, which each person must discover for oneself. It might be love of everything and everyone; a concept that is unfathomable for many. To refine this ability means traveling an arduous path, which ultimately emerges as sublime.

I succeeded in feeling love even toward enemies because they don’t exist. There are only people at lower levels of consciousness, in the process of learning.

You only need to listen to yourself, to your dreams, and follow them—that is how it should be. This is what dreams are for. We are the experts in making them come true. Nevertheless, we wait for someone else to make them a reality. But who would come?! We have received a unique opportunity to dream, reflect things in our mind, and visualize our life.

There will come a time when we will be able to realize all the dreams we envision with love. When we strive to fill everything we touch with love and passion, the forces of the Universe strive to fulfill our dreams, if we ask for it. Everything, absolutely everything, is possible, as long as it arises from pure and sincere love and enthusiasm for everything. Wishes are permitted, but always remember to also lovingly wish others well.

Once you change your thinking, once you turn towards the sun, you will come to understand the interconnectedness of all things. It might take some time, but elevated thoughts make life easier.

Life consists of all the things that happen to us be they joyous or less animated. We are the authors. Of course, there are situations we cannot avoid, which many of us experience, but it is essential to focus on the premise, that despite everything we go through, we live a beautiful life. It is imperative to think about how we want it to be. Stop worrying about what is yet to come; what comes is what is meant to be. Let your smile be a constant companion on your journey because a smile is a gift, a light cast on yourself and others.

Let’s not take ourselves too seriously. Nothing is wrong; we are simply living life. That is what we wanted to do. Otherwise we would not be here. I certainly wanted to experience it. I am happy that I am! My life is my delightful hobby.

People are afraid of life, they are afraid to love, because they fear being abandoned. Their fear of getting their heart broken hinders them from opening up
