BART

I’M ONLY A small puppy running around my back yard, having fun with my mistress and making a noise, my mistress, she loves me and we play games like catch and hide and seek, I bark and yap and jumping and leaping and catching my toys that are thrown for me to get.
My name is Bart short for Bartholomew, I like my name, the longer the better. I think you are more important if you have a long name.
Here I am laying in the warm sunshine, my mistress is inside the big cave, all modern and colourful, I think you call it a house. Well I was playing in the wonderful place called a garden with so many things to do, when my attention was arrested by the barking of a dog at the back of my territory, we have been watching you, keeping an eye on you and we feel you would fit in with us,
with us, who is us
why all us dogs hereabouts and we have a small number of cats working for us as look outs,
I was by this time very puzzled not to mention astounded by what I had just heard, I really didn’t know what to say or do so I said playing for time, how will I fit in with you, I can’t get out of my yard only for walks
. He said oh yes you can get out and do things just come to the back fence and move the corner tin panel,
oh I can’t it is much to stiff,
‘try again push harder,
oh my it does move a bit," I was so astonished I quickly peeped around the corner of the gardening shed, and no one was there whew....
I thought the noise would bring my mistress out over to where I was quickly but she didn’t come, so I pushed with my paws and nose and the tin panel gave way and I found my self in the yard at the back of my house in front of two blue grey dogs. I felt very small beside them as I was a normal terrier, anyway I was most surprised to find my self there and they came over to talk to me and said, now you are here we have been keeping an eye on you, you have been watched, your progress detailed and now you are ready to start our training course and entrance into our secret service training course,
secret service, I was too bemused to speak so I just sat there dumbfounded I did not know what to say.
Well,
he said, what is the first thing you have to do, oh yes, I know exercising, you have to do exercises, you must do a little at a time until you build up your muscles and body first. here is an obstacle course and you must complete it. there is no time limit because we cannot tell time not as humans can, those time pieces they have on their arms and in the house that make peculiar noises, anyway off you go, how well you go around the course is the way to go.
The first thing I had to do was to go around the bottom of a very high pole with a complex wire system on top of it ten times then around a large
