I’ve been writing poetry for many a year. I remember how it came from sitting around the house handicapped. But this I did have training brought in to me by my son attending the Magnet School for the Gifted. After my handicap improved somewhat, I moved from St. Louis, MO to California where I subscribed to poetry groups and publications including Writer’s Digest.

Even as oft he’d embrace nothing wrong

nor ignore commitment to more of her love induce,

would none say nil to admiring ideal

that, here, at last they with the rank ideal admired for

lovely roost yields.

Nor jubilance recites of rank if Love going wrong

from where each day delight surrounds home.

He’s glad the house where view the wave in ripples

where a scene at coast so near

and seen the back yard
