About this ebook
Zuzanna Musial
The author’s name is Zuzanna Musial. She was born in Poland on August 11, 1950. Her parents, Cecilia and Thaddeus Golemo, passed away years ago. After graduating from college, she immigrated to Canada in 1981. She has two wonderful sons, Mariusz and Artur, whom she loves dearly. She was employed in occupational therapy for over twenty years in rehabilitation facilities in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her love and respect for life heightened her sensitivity toward others. Literature was always one of her strong interests. She did not speak or read English when she arrived in Canada. Determination pushed her to learn the English Language ten words a day to improve her speaking and writing skills. Writing poems became a passion that helped her to express inner feelings and utmost desires of her heart. She loves literature, reading, writing, photography, videography, history, and she finds peace in nature. Over the many years, she acquired life wisdom. She is respectful of all people and firmly believes in kindness of a human heart. “Happiness is to be alive and see the beauty around.” A motto for the book title Flames of Life: “A new day is the beginning of an adventure. Learning about others as well as ourselves, sharing laughter (a form of medicine), trying to accomplish more than originally thought we could, taking a lesson from our mistakes. Be kinder than necessary because kindness is what the world needs the most.” Zuzanna Musial

Life Mountain
Once upon a time her climbing began
every step she took to climb higher
was harder with time, having family and kids
she worked away from home for basic needs.
It was much harder when divorce hit home,
for she had to raise the kids alone,
the hardship to bear; fewer know, only those
experienced a life path she was going through.
The hardest and more difficult time
was yet to come, when late November evening
she was driving home; another vehicle hit her,
car accident that caused the Life Mountain
grow tall.
Five years passed since she put her life on hold
however, it’s all about climbing, getting to the top.
She whispered prayers when health became frail
as there was no other medical help avail.
Her Life Mountain
grew bigger every passing year
she held the hopes that someday will reach the top
the Everest
of her life seems taller and steep.
Climbing the Life Mountain
sets her face in tears.
A Blank Page
Have you ever wondered why?
The muse for writing comes and goes.
I am having that issue with my mind now.
Can someone tell me please as to why?
Trying so hard to write a rhyme,
And then the melody is not there in time.
When sitting outside I might get some ideas,
From singing birds those in the trees.
But my muse loves to hide often, why?
Oh! Why the words are not there.
Such a problem and a big blank page,
Plays hide and seek, but no use at this stage.
Reading helps a lot with an inspiration,
It is a fact that I know a simple equation.
Having those issues with an inspiring creations,
It’s quite a delicate but profound limitation.
If one is a believer, Holy Spirit might help.
His blessings would solve some issues
With a writing attempt, and then
Perhaps the inspiration will be back again.
A Flight Away
Dear friend, I never seen you
However, I love your romantic side
You are a special man
and I cherish that
do not be afraid to write.
I will be happy to hear from you,
Today’s world is small because
the Internet brought us closer together,
the distance became a flight away.
I am flattered with your response
The video and the music speaks
with warmth of your heart
my dear online friend,
thank you so much
for being part of my life,
although far away
somehow so close by
with the love for music
you share with me online.
I thank you for the music
my dearest of friends,
the words are so warm and close
to my heart, the song speaks of love,
dreams and desires… be there for me
as I will be here for you my lovely friend,
nostalgia love songs melt my heart at this end.
A Gift So Simple
There is a picture on the wall
for a number of years now
a picture with a horse heading to
a stream to get some water to drink.
The picture has no value for others
or the exposition at museum walls
but for me it is a treasure with no
measure painted by my younger son.
Many years ago he was a great artist
with drawing and painting as well
but with time his talents changed
and now he is creative in other fields.
I treasure his painting more than
other exclusive art, a gift so simple
yet given to me from his loving heart
so there is no price on
