Wendye Savage has written the most amazing self help book not just for women but for everyone. She has included personal stories in her book to illustrate work she has done in her recovery. I love the way she has used the metaphor of a purse to talk about all the issues a person might carry around making them unhealthy. Wendye has provided helpful tips for each section along with thought provoking journal prompts. The scripture references and personal prayers are inspirational. With Wendye’s permission, I can hardly wait to use the material in her book at the psychosocial facilty with our clients. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone working on having good mental health-.

Wendye Savage’s What’s in Your Purse?
is a straight talking, open and honest self-reflection of her growth with anecdotal tips for the reader that are timely and on point which also triggers your own self -reflection! The prayers are windows to look within for help with our own growth….. an absolute page turner…. Couldn’t wait to find out what else was in that "purse! Did not disappoint!

My Lord,
this book couldn’t have come out at a better time in my life. I have overcome a lot of things in my life and these guidelines are exactly what I used, but there’s nothing like confirmation and truth seeing someone elses test, testimony. I could not put this book down. Thank you so much Wendye Savage for guidelines to help others and myself. You are a walking miracle, true believer and that is the true definition of an overcomer. Thanks for being brave, bold and strong. I see women being set free, men too. This is truly an antidote to a better life knowing that the truth will set you free!-
