INTRODUCTION

For centuries people have wondered what lies ahead in the future. What happens when they die? Where will they go? What will they do? Is there really a heaven and hell? And the list goes on and on. Well, astounding as it may sound, all these questions are answered in the Word of God, the Holy Bible. God has foretold, all down through the ages, His divine plan for humanity to all those who believe in Him. He tells them how He created them at the beginning and His plan to take them into eternity to be with Him forever.

Are you ready to take a journey from creation into eternity and see the marvelous future God has in store for you? If you are, then let me be your guide as we go through the Holy Bible and discover God’s wonderful plan for humanity. We’ll see how God created the heavens and the earth to be the first domain of human beings. How Satan the devil convinced Adam and Eve to believe him and disobey God and the consequences their disobedience has had on all humanity ever since.

We’ll look at how God destroyed all the people on the earth, except for one man and his family, with a great flood because they had become so wicked. Next, we’ll move along through the ages until an event takes place that has changed the lives of people for the past two-thousand years.

Once we’ve looked at some of the events that have taken place in history, we’ll move forward and look at what’s going to take place in the future. We’ll observe people becoming so wicked that they turn their backs on God and rebel against Him. Then we’ll see how the earth will be all but destroyed because of their wickedness before God steps in and puts a stop to it.

Next, we’ll see Jesus Christ come on the scene and deal with Satan and the wicked people on this earth and how He’ll take charge and rule over all the nations of the earth with a rod of iron. We’ll even get a glimpse of the governmental structure He will organize to rule under Him.

After Jesus rules as supreme ruler over the earth for a thousand years, you’ll be astounded to see Satan coming back on the scene and getting billions of people to follow him and fight against the living God, Jesus Christ.

We’ll see how God is going to create a new heaven and earth that will replace the present heaven and earth that He is going to destroy. We’ll also see a Holy City that will come down out of heaven called New Jerusalem. We’ll be told all about this city and that God Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ will live in it. And on top of all that, we’ll learn about the future of the redeemed saints. Where they will live and what they’ll be doing in the Kingdom of God.

At the end of our journey, we’ll look at the Valley of Decision. It’s a valley every man and woman have to walk through. It’s in this Valley of Decision that we find the key to entering into Eternity.

Finally, don’t be shocked, or in disbelief, at what you’ll discover is in store for us as we move along on this journey. Because what we are touring through is the Word of God, which He has spoken to His prophets and servants all down through the ages. God wants us to know these truths, and He made them available to us in His Word, the Holy Bible.

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he

CHAPTER 1

THE BEGINNING

Before we look toward the future and investigate the information God has given us, we need to have some knowledge of what has already taken place. If we understand what God has set in motion, and how He has dealt with people in the past, we will better understand His plans for the future. So let’s start with the beginning of creation and look at some of the things God has already done. And after that, we’ll proceed to what He has planned for the future.

The very first verse in the Holy Bible says,

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

As God has existed throughout all eternity, and eternity has no beginning and no end, one must ask, What is the beginning being referred to here? The beginning mentioned in the book of Genesis is not the beginning of eternity because eternity has no beginning.

God has always existed. He is without beginning and end. Therefore, it’s easy to see that the beginning referred to here, in the book of Genesis, is the place in eternity past where God began to set in
