    DEDICATIONS TO:

    MY GRANDDAUGHTERS

    ADDISON ISABELLA AND SHAR’I JOSETTE

Embedded in a crystal star, accompanied by God’s angels

Coming forth to bless our family

Twinkling arrays of happiness, joy, kindness and love

Blessed by God’s hands from above

Serene as the moon and bright as the sun

God’s blessed us with our granddaughter, lovely Addison

Twelve years later a miracle appeared

    Prayers answered from above

    Healing bodies, healing hearts

Filled with an abundance of love

    Laughing, smiling, filled with life

    She’s a wonder, God’s delight

A true miracle we won’t forget

She’s our very own treasure, she’s our Shar’i Josette

May the pieces of Grandmarie’s Crystal Creations

bless you to know that God is good and has you in His care always.

Always remember the love and fun we shared.

    CLARA JEAN, MY MOM

Just as we were really getting to bond, your journey here on Earth came to an end. I’ll always remember you calling me your Maya (Angelou) after reading my Mother’s Day poem for you. I’ve come to realize what a strong, intelligent and resilient mother you were. When we see each other again we can continue the love. I hope I’ve made you proud.

    MY SISTER TERRI

Who always believed in me more than I believed in myself. I feel honored that you wrote in your love letter to me before your journey here ended after I read a poem at a family affair and I quote I felt as if the angels are spiritually sprinkling little droplets of love all around us. Well, dear sister, I know you’re looking down on me smiling and saying Finally Girl. I miss you every day until then feel the hugs.

    Acknowledgements

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for you believed in me before I believed in myself. I thank you, Lord for having instilled in me a gift I didn’t know existed and until I put it into effect – until I walked by faith….. and through His inspiration I was blessed to create (and will continue to create) these poems that are so dear to my heart.

It is with utmost love that I thank my Heart’s Twin, my husband, Eulouis (Buggsy) who after realizing I was serious and truly had a gift to offer the world, continued to encourage me to move forward and has been by my side for the past 52 years.

My daughter, Andrea, who has for the longest time, told me to publish, publish, publish! A very special son, Sharrod (Rod the Bliz) for his continued love. I pray one day, in the near future, we can collaborate one of my pieces to his amazing beats (a one of a kind mama/son creation). To my no longer lost niece, Moni, who when we first spoke and heard my poems, uplifted my spirits and truly made me believe in myself and forget the naysayers.

What can I say about my sistah-friends who threatened me in a loving way to get my poems published and let the world see what I had inside. Thanks, my sistahs, I finally got off the proverbial pot. I cannot thank you ladies enough for all of your encouragement helping me to make this dream possible. So to Cathy Flythe, April Gray, Mona J Collins; Sallie Paige, Bettye Fieldings, Chinita McCoy, Lauren Humdy, LeJune Washington, Audrey Cherry-Moses, Kiin Unto-D’Astril, Georgette (GiGi Manning, Jeanette Fowlkes, Dawn Cherry. Last but not least, my sistah-angels Charlotte Mercer and Joan Franks, who I hope are looking down and smiling, for they too provided never-ending encouragement, holding me up and carrying me along – much love to ya!

A special thanks to my dear friend, Harold Schiffman, a constant supporter, who always has my best interest at heart and has also encouraged me to publish my works. We grew together as no other friends and are more
