About this ebook

Three Minutes With God was written for busy people –those who can’t always make the time for devotions, but who realize the value it can add to their quality of life.  The methodology is simple – read, reflect and respondThe scripture and the devotion are the same for the entire week, and there’s an opportunity for journaling and praying, as well as a call to action.  The book is a practical resource that is easy to use.  The reader, rather than feeling burdened by another task, will be encouraged and excited by the opportunity to slow down for a moment with God–three minutes to be exact.

    To God Be the Glory

    The Greatest Commandment Campaign

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, Of all the commandments, which is the most important? The most important one answered Jesus, is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. (NIV, Mark 12:28-31)

    What I’m Learning

    The Importance of Devotional Time

I am at an age and a place in life where I make every attempt to maximize my efforts. I’ve wasted enough time, so I want to spend what’s left doing only the things that matter most. So believe me when I say that devotional time is important.

Over the years, I have observed that the most fulfilling part of my day is time spent with God. The spiritual necessities required for me to meet the challenges of the day are born and nurtured during my time alone with God. My devotional time is a wellspring of hope, courage, peace, and joy.

I’m convinced that the quality of my life depends on the quality of my relationship with God, and that spending time in the presence of God is critical to my existence. In fact, I believe that loving God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength (Mark 12:30, NKJV) is the most important aspect of a person’s life.

As you read this book, please know that I have made every attempt to create a work that is meaningful and relevant, and that will stand the test of time. I pray that through these words you will not only feel the beat of my heart,
