About this ebook

Why am I holding this book in my hand? I dont have time for this!
God has a plan for you. He wants a relationship with you, and your soul is reaching out to Him. But finding time in your busy schedule to add another commitment is difficult. Do not hesitate; begin right now. Not next Monday or next week or the beginning of next year. Take action now.

The message within this book is a guide to help you recognize Gods presence in your daily life. God speaks through His creation and the people we meet every day. Do you hear His voice?
As with any new venture, the beginning steps are always the hardest. This study is simply ninety days! Even ninety days may seem too much when you barely have time to complete all of todays tasks. Do not concern yourself with the ninetieth day; simply plan for today!

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. To give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

Am I There Yet? - Sherry S. Robinson

    Day 1

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me … keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.—Matthew 11:28–30 (MSG)

W hat is it that brings you into God’s presence? What will it take to slow you down, to breathe deeply, and to enter into a time of study or reflection? Is it quiet? Do you play a favorite hymn or maybe light a candle? If you struggle to find this time in your day, set up a simple routine. I make coffee and surround myself with my devotional books very early in the day. Whatever it is you need to do, start it now. Plan for it, and make it happen. The Lord your God is waiting for you, and all you have to do today is ask Him into your life!

Take a few moments to breathe deeply. Clear your mind of whatever the day has in store for you. Let His peace wash over you, settle on you, and keep you throughout the day. Now go with His blessing.

    Day 2

    Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:6–9

My job was to plant the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God, not we, who made it grow.—1 Corinthians 3:6

I see God, the Creator, everywhere I look, especially in the natural world. The smell of fresh-cut grass, the wind rustling in the trees’ leaves, and the sound of water moving in my pond are relaxing to me. So it amazed me to realize my son-in-law doesn’t see nature the same way I do. I assumed everyone did! This was a revelation to me, and I began to realize that the Holy Spirit works in everyone differently. Where do you see God? Take time today to find Him and give Him thanks for His presence in your daily tasks.

    Day 3

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?—Jeremiah 32:27

H ave you limited the power of God in your life? Do you really and truly believe He can accomplish great things for you and through you? My cousin Jnell’s son was in a car accident, and he was seriously injured to the point that he was not expected to live. Jnell was never a churchgoer, but a year before the accident, the girl who does her nails witnessed to her about the church she attended. It was just a conversation between the two, but God meant it for more. The Holy Spirit used these words to encourage and invite Jnell into the church. I’m quite sure the lady at the salon has no memory of this long-ago conversation.

Do you believe God can use you? What about the people around you? Do you believe God is using them to help you through this new journey? For today, ask God to point out three people who help you, guide you, or simply encourage you.

    Day 4

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.—Isaiah 40:10

A s I said in the introduction, I hear from my girlfriends over and over again about how tired they are. We have a weariness born from absolutely too much to do and too many activities pulling us in too many directions. There is always someone or something that needs us. And yet this isn’t a new theme unique to our generation. Jesus saw this in His own time. In His words:

Come to me, all who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Doesn’t that rest call to us? Doesn’t your heart yearn for that peace, that calm that we long for? It is only to be found in time spent with Him, centered in His abiding love.

    Day 5

The trees of the field will clap their hands.—Isaiah 55:12

O ne of the most sincere forms of devotion is finding and thanking God in our everyday living. As I’ve said, I find this to be easiest in the outdoors. The soft sigh of the breeze in the trees of our backyard, the vivid sunsets with vibrant colors, and the soft patter of rain on the roof are times of reflection and proof to me of the glory of God. This is when my heart shouts out the joy of being a part of the world He created. It is an opportunity to worship. Open your heart, your eyes, and your soul to allow God to speak to you in the same
