Before I begin, I need to update you as to what’s been happening. Dakota the basset hound is as spunky as ever, sticking her nose into everything and taking naps with Shelly the turtle. And, fortunately, Shelly hasn’t been put on top of the fence post again.

Mello the kitty still thinks she has more than nine lives—but just in case, Ernesto and Ernesta the eagles keep an eye on her.

Floppy the bunny has kept in shape thanks to her constant companion, Bossie the Chihuahua (and Bossie still lives up to her name).

    Finally, Alvin the blood
