F irst, I want to acknowledge God for His mighty hand upon my life. This work would not have been possible without His counsel and instructions. The Lord has truly guided me in all my ways and ordered my steps. Therefore, I give Him all the honor and the glory. The scripture verse in Proverbs says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and He will direct your path. I am amazed of what God is doing in my life and I am humbled. I would be remiss if I did not take the opportunity to recognize my shinning-stars, my amazing sons, Mark, Matthew and Mel! They are the best! The most cohesive team I have ever worked with. I salute you, boys and say thank you! You have loved me, honored me and allowed me to pursue my call and live my dream, thank you. Because of you, I am able to balance career, ministry and family.

Introduction

A bout fifteen years ago, I recognized the call of God and discovered my purpose. Although I didn’t fully understand what I was destined to do, I believed that God was speaking to me. This discovery led me into challenges. I faced hurlers, disappointments, disruptions and discomforts. However, I was determined to walk in purpose. As I grew in the faith process, God taught me how to be confident in Him. There were talents, abilities and new creative concepts that I needed to uncover in order to operate in the zenith of what God was calling me to. As I decided to follow the path of God’s plan for my life, I had to get used to being totally uncomfortable and inconvenient, replacing my plan for God’s plan and my will for His. This new integration as you can imagine caused some frictions, uncertainties, and uncomfortableness.

Perhaps you can envision a butterfly emerging out of a cocoon into the world. It is nerve-wracking. I wasn’t sure if it was me doing the change or the Spirit of God. I was afraid, I was apprehensive, I had some doubts and I was confused. Dealing with all of these different emotions made me uneasy. I made some mistakes but God did some course-corrections on my behalf to get me back on His path. With that said, I have learned how to buckle down and stand on what God has declared. This course of action did not come to me easily. It was and it actually is still sometimes a fight. Especially when everything around me appears to be on the contrary of what I know God said. I have to keep reminding myself of what God said, to stand on His word and stay in faith.

Dig It Up is a book of wisdom. I have strategically crafted this book from the word of God by the help of the Holy Spirit to empower you to rise and conquer. With practical knowledge, and some of my life experiences, you will fine bible base teachings that you can easily apply to your life to make the necessary change. In my walk with the Spirit of God, I discovered that nothing that I was looking for was around me. Everything that I was looking for was already inside of me. Therefore, I submit to you that what God is calling out of you has already been instilled in you, It is not around you.
