About this ebook

You’ve just found a lyric pulse. It’s a monumental discovery. A living, breathing, noted, literature specie able to work beyond the five natural senses of physical beings. A grammar entity with a transcendent dialect communicated in a fluent flow of sentences, phrases, verses, choruses and all manner of articulations accustomed to a alphabet able to breach its own circumference. The verbal imagery sets up, and looks at you, curious of to how far you can see into its eyes. How far can you go beyond the music? It stares, peering into the psychological galaxies (most commonly known as thoughts) wondering how tuned in to your consciousness you really are, and what borders might there be to prevent you from deciphering its scribing to the fullest detail? To what extent can you push the comprehension accelerator to get from point A to point Z to its point made? An analyzation is underway.

    Foreword

Think beyond limits. Go past the breakers and swim with me in deeper waters than you have ever swam in before. Sink your expectations with all of their limit attachments, and be available, opened up for all that you can receive. The following pages are not to be compared with anything that you have previously read. This is something unique. Have faith, and prepare for a spiritual journey into new depths of literature that will take you to heights yet reached. The Gospel, as is documented in the books compiled in the Bible, is the greatest written work that has ever been inked, and that is a case closed statement. While I would not put my writing on the same level of importance as that contained in the Bible, it is likewise inspired by the same Spirit. My heart belongs to Jesus and it is He Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can even think or imagine. My faith has no boundaries, and it is through faith in the Lord that I am able to use the gift of writing that He has given me, and to take it to the heights that I am able to.

In this book, I am going to do something that has never been done before. I am going to merge the written with the verbal and the verbal with the visual. I want you to be able to see the lyrics that you read in the images of their descriptions. With faith all things are possible. I want these words to literally appear to you in their mental form while you read. I want you to be able to see what I see while I’m writing. Sound far fetched? No. With faith all things are possible. I want you to be both physically and mentally touched by these words and I want them to leave a lasting impact on your heart and life. Don’t just see them as standard rap lyrics with chorus and verse. See them as unique writings that have the ability to vividly appear in your mind. Yes, see the visual lyrical movements as they come alive in your mental. Most, if not all, of these tracks will one day materialize onto studio LP’S. I am the first rapper ever to rhyme my tracks all of the way through.

You will see near rhymes aka slant rhymes in the mix working as fillers, but exact rhymes or actual rhymes will be in their proper places. Some will possibly appear to you as what I call ‘unorthodox rhymes’—which is a rhyme that is placed in sync with how the lyricist wants it to be, but perhaps not in sync with how the listener or reader perceives it should be. There are also what I call ‘neutral rhymes’ that will appear periodically throughout my lyrics. Neutral rhymes are simply lines or phrases that end with the same word. I use neutral rhyming periodically for good wordplay. They neither rhyme nor do they not rhyme, so they stand neutral on the rhyming track (at least that is how I see it). I know how to rhyme and I also know how to use good wordplay. So you are in for a unique experience on this ride. Your journey awaits. Welcome to Verbal Imagery: Transcendental Industry.

    Wade’s Specific Ocean

    Wade. Hello, Mr. Thomas.

    Thomas. Hi.

Wade. "I understand that you’ve been experiencing

    some….unusual thoughts?"

    Thomas. Yeah. Really unusual thoughts.

Wade. And how do they make you feel?

Thomas. Eh….I’m not sure how to answer that.

Wade. "I see. When did the thoughts first occur,

    Mr. Thomas?"

Thomas. "I started noticing them after listening to

    freestyle tracks."

    Wade. Freestyle tracks?

Thomas. Yeah. By Wade The Wordsmith.

    Wade. Ah.

Thomas. Yeah. I was just curious. You know?

    Wade. Sure.

Thomas. "So I listened and almost instantly started

    experiencing these….thoughts. Deep thoughts."

    Wade. Deep like a pool?

    Thomas. Eh….more like an ocean.

    Wade. Ah. Like in sharks?

    Thomas. Yeah! Sharks!

    Wade. Big ones?

    Thomas. Yeah. Really big.

    Wade. Jelly fish?

Thomas. Jelly fish were there. Yeah.

Wade. "Uh huh. What about whales, Thomas?

    Ha. Ha."

Thomas. Yeah! I saw some whales.

    Wade. Octopuses?

    Thomas. Yeah! Octopuses too!

Wade. Stay away from the octopuses, Thomas.

    Thomas. Huh?

Wade. They have a really long reach, and like to grab.

Thomas. Yeah….yeah. One almost got me.

Wade. You’re just not ready for those.

    Thomas. Okay.

Wade. "You know, Thomas—are you a doubter, Thomas?

    Ha. Ha. Ha."

Thomas. That laugh. Eh…no. I’m not a doubter.

Wade. "Good. The world has enough doubters, Thomas.

You know, I’m familiar with the ocean that you’re

describing, and I have some profound insight into it."

    Thomas. What kind of insight?

Wade. "Well, for example, you will find, in that specific

ocean, things not in other oceans."

    Thomas. Like what….exactly?

Wade. "Well, like lions and tigers and bears.

    Ha. Ha. Ha."

Thomas. "Oh my. How do you know so much about

    this ocean?"

Wade. "Well, Thomas…..because I built it.

    Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha."

Thomas. "That laugh. I know that laugh. It’s you!

    Wade The Wordsmith!"

Wade. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Welcome to my ocean, it gets really deep.

I give visitor instructions, but they’re not cheap.

You’ll spend a lot of time in your mentality

trying to think how I think and see how I see.

Here’s all you need to know before you go in:

    use extreme caution in interpretation.

Follow that step and you will do okay.

    Don’t nosedive into a castaway.

So start your mental engines, take psychological care.

There’s no piggybacking. Nah! That wouldn’t be fair.

Drop your preconceptions, they will do you no good.

There’s no such thing as la la land in my neighborhood.

You just scored two points with that mental shot.

Now go full court with all that you’ve got.

Take a shot at the basket, and fill it to the rim.

Then push it to the counter to develop the film.

See what you’ve got, and then take it from there.

Go up into my elevator into thin air.

Disappear from your worries and then reappear

in a fear-free zone, sky blue atmosphere.

This isn’t a jungle, so you won’t find any vines

hanging from the limbs on the trees in my lines.

    There’s no swinging into boredom

    where words get entangled,

where the meaning gets hung up

    before it gets strangled.

I give thought to what I say and the way that I tell it.

Some call it wordplay, I call it well writ-

ten. Fore! I’m shooting for a clear whole in every one

—thus the soul purpose for this specific ocean.

    for this lyric motility.

    You’ve never been exposed

    to this kind of mobility.

    You’re saying that you’re ready,

    but you’re not understanding me.

    Ready’s just a step

    on the ladder to destiny.

So take that step of ready

    and be ready to steadily

    move to the next step

    with higher expectancy.
