About this ebook

Adventures in Revelation is written especially for young readers. While it is biblically sound, it details the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in a format that youth and adults can comprehend. Without a doubt, children have questions about the end times. They want to know about the rapture, the tribulation, and eternity. They question if Jesus is really coming back. What about heaven and hell? Will they be subjected to the scary things that they have heard about? They ask if babies will go to heaven, and on and on the questions go. Find answers to these and other questions as we tour the heavens with the beloved disciple John. Adventures in Revelation is filled with pictures and interactive moments to assure the readers that their salvation is secure in Jesus.

Throughout the book, the young readers are encouraged to give their lives to the Lord if they have not already done so. They are assured that Jesus loves them more than anything in the world and that once they know who they are in Christ, they will have no fear of the Book of Revelation and discover the many blessings and promises found in the Word of God.

    DEDICATION

This book is lovingly dedicated to my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of God’s little ones everywhere. It was written with you in mind. I know how much you all love to read, or have a good story read to you. That is precisely what I have attempted to do with this book; tell you a real-life, true story, filled with adventure and excitement about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT

A special thank you to my beautiful daughter-in-law, Christina Love Page, a phenomenal woman of God, wife and mother of three. She serves as Co-Pastor and Director of Women’s Ministries for Liberty Temple Worship Center, San Diego. Christina, it was your love and concern for your children that triggered a desire within you to give them the truth of Scripture regarding the Second Coming of Jesus in a format that they can understand.

When you asked me about a bible study especially for children, my initial reaction was to say that children were already welcome to attend the classes if their parents brought them. But before I could verbalize the thought, I remembered how difficult it was to teach a combined group of children and adults. I quickly reconsidered my response.

This book is the result of your request. Consequently, youth and young adults of all ages will now have the factual story of our Lord’s first and second coming in a way that was designed with them in mind. I pray it meets and exceeds your every expectation, and that our Lord will be glorified.

A Letter to Parents and Caregivers

The Necessity of a Sure Foundation for Children

    (Deut. 11:18-19; Based on 1 Cor. 3:10-11)

    Dear Parent:

We would probably agree that it is important for children to be given a firm foundation on which to build their lives. No better foundation can be given than one based on Jesus Christ. Some parents say that they do not want to impose religion upon their children. I don’t either. Rather, they want to let the child discover his/her own way in life.

Philosophically, that sounds wonderful and politically correct. But this is neither philosophy nor politics. The reality is, one of the main responsibilities of being a parent/caregiver, is to lead your child to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ, not to a religion but to a relationship. God commands parents to teach their children about Him and tell them about the marvelous things the LORD has done. And these words which I command you today…. You shall teach them diligently to your children…. (Deut. 6:6-7; Prov. 22:6; Eph. 6:4). It is not optional. They need to know the God of the Bible and what that knowledge means to them personally. Trust me when I tell you that your child will have ample opportunities later in life to choose or refuse all kinds of things, including whether or not to have a personal relationship of Jesus Christ. But for now, the mandate is on you to teach them and guide them.

I am not suggesting that we drag our children down to the front of the church, force them onto their knees at the altar, and make them repeat a lot of words that
