My Wedding Vow

For many years now, I have had certain sequences in my life that I have carried from time to time. I have been learning from each mistake, hoping to never again see it happen to me or any other innocent soul I may know. You may not have had it happen to you, but you may also happen. Though not all are devastating, I have understood each lesson as the years gone by. I learned more from the experience that was aimed toward me, as it had given me the strength to tackle things I had never thought of before.

Each part of these moments was either created by a woman of my life whom I once wished to obtain again, a family member who has passed on but is remembered by the ones who loved him or her, or a friend who had pulled me out of a hole I thought I would never get out of.

Read as you may; understand as I have. For my wisdom is all I truly have to give to you. With it, learn and understand. Do not change who you are unless it has life-threatening ideas. I would know that, for I was once scared to take something that would not only hurt me but also hurt everyone around me. I have learned the hard way, but I succeeded to live my life as I wanted to, leaving all that was not dear to me and leaving all that had hurt me.

Take these words to your liking. Here they are—the moments of my life. May they help you with yours as they have with mine.

Music

a sound of peace and harmony

made by the simple flicker

of strings and fingers

to make a sound

heard by many

to create a story

written in words many could love

and understand

for years to come

as if time is forever held still

in those sounds of peace and harmony

to bring a smile

from a day of hell

to bring a calm soul

from a reckless life

listening to the story of ages

to never change

but always heard differently

for time is forever frozen

as it is

in the song of ages

many artists

come over the years

many of whom are not heard

many of whom are forgotten

some heard years after they are gone

and few heard forever

for their songs of time

have changed the world

by the simple use of their voice

or the sound they created

to be shared and used

for they created something

that has healed the world

and progressed it to something

that it thought of never seeing

they can change a life

through a single note

created by their hearts and minds

as long as it means as much to them

as it does to you and me

their passion created by pure of heart

for it means more

than simple words and strings put together

to those who take life to new meaning

and use their music to guide their life to a new

better and stronger one

what they thought was not possible

was shown

a simple song

created by man

to show their creations to the world

in a way everyone can understand

though it may not change the whole world

but the meaning

of the song

can change a single soul

a song

can heal the deepest wounds and

change the mind of nations

from the reckless

dictatorship they held

to the innocent people of the country

music can do wonderful things

it can change the purity of a soul

which is held far below

the earth we stand on

was lifted to a new life

by the sound of purity

from the simple song

created

by the heart

and each day we pray for

another person to create

a song that can change the world

as we wait for them to be shown

we shall sit and see what others have to show

until the time comes

where we can change our soul

Those Others

the ones who speak down

on others who pose no threat to them

try to fill a hole

in their heart they wish to fill

where they can mistreat and abuse

as they create a mistake in their life

where flaws

come to haunt them

for now, they will push it onto you

to get rid of what happened to them

though they didn’t create harm on others

they throw down their words to make it so it has

to seem like they are better than you are

as they ignore your words

to try and compromise for something different

and stop what is happening

but they keep you silent

understand that

you are no threat to their body

or to their mind

so do not be scared

if they wish to harm you

for they know what you truly speak of

but they ignore you

like a child picking on another

on the lands on which we play and live

as they know they are the fool

but they do not wish to see the reality of it

as they push you to the point

in the crowd of others who see what you are doing but the crowd does nothing

you become more foolish than them

because of the words that come out of your mouth

but you take no actions to do it

for they ignore and continue on with their lives

and push you down

as you are nothing compared to their eyes

like every other child they have picked on

who has hurt you

you must see and understand

that they dust in your eyes

a bump in the road

another step to conjure

and all you have to do

is simply face what needs to be done

though it may seem scary at first

but do not fret, my friend

you are stronger than you think

you are better than what they make you seem

for you have a challenge

to show to yourself and others

who the better man is

between you and those others

for no man should be judged

by the simple mistakes in his life

but by the accomplishments he has done

to conquer the ones who wish to abuse his mistake

to hurt his well-being

as his quest is not to see

history repeats itself once again

to ignore his mistake and continue his life

happy and free

as any man or woman wishes to be

but keep in mind by the end of the day

the one who feels truly accomplished

about what he has done

goes to bed the happiest

than any man who abuses his mistake

to just retrieve a cheap chuckle or laugh

as they seek to fill

the heart they have lost many years ago

though others may say

there is no need to prove yourself

proving to others they are wrong

is the sweetest taste any man can have

because conquering something

others have said is impossible

will be one of the proudest moments in your life

and I want to be there to help you out

so go out and prove to those others that they are wrong

prove to them that there is actually something

wrong because of the words they speak

prove to them

who is the bigger man

and become something

others will fear you to become

High School Drama

When I was in ninth grade, I was a chunky little kid who really didn’t work out much. I remember getting made fun of really bad. I ate a lot of sweets, and girls didn’t pay attention to me. Within three years, I went from being Darth Vader to big man on campus—Dutch. I worked out and proved to people that I was more than what they thought I was going to be. I proved to coaches, women, and even men that I was more than they thought I was going to be.

Will

the spirit of oneself

can only be broken

if one allows it to be done

for will

allows you the ability to continue

doing what is right

allowing you to take that extra skip

into the direction you want to go

but

at times

it is wrong

as you may think it is right

but soon you will learn

your will can be wrong

it is then it shall be truly tested

if you take that extra step

into the other direction

to prove to the world your spirit

cannot be broken

as it is free and strong

the fire in the heart

that is unstoppable

it cannot be touched

no matter how much pain

anyone puts on it

your will can build

stronger than ever before

more and more every day

as long

as the will is strong

a person like you and me

are unbreakable

many people like you and me

are seen by others

mostly hidden

for the fear of one

strong will

can be and will be contagious

like a virus in the crowd

for others wish to keep those

strong-willed and strong-minded people away

from the world we live in

for they know they can bring great change

to this world
