My name is Lois Lee (O'Donnell) Siler. I'm 79 years old and married to Ronnie, my husband of 58 years. We have two lovely daughters, two handsome grandsons and as of this writing...5 new, adorable, kittens. Blue Butterflies In Heaven is my first published work and I have loved every minute of the process. My first love is writing inspirational poems although I do have a silly side that prompts me at times to write goofy, silly poems... the ones that make me smile and keep me sane in a sometimes crazy, up-side-down, mixed-up, world. My style of writing is rather laid back and easy to read. I love sharing my poems and hopefully they will give the reader encouragement or even a reason to smile. This is a collection of poems taken from everyday life,

through different stages of my life.

I pray God will use them to encourage,

inspire and give strength through hard times and good times,

and to always be aware of God’s presence.

Matthew 28:20 states . . . and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. What a wonderful assurance of God’s unending faithfulness and love.

Preface

Imagination to me is everything.

I have always had a healthy imagination and

I often let it take me to worlds that never were.

Imagination makes me aware of my limitless possibilities.

I try to balance my poems between serious and whimsical.

I will have to admit though, I enjoy letting my imagination run wild

and reveal my silly side.

God had to have a sense of humor when he created poets.

The little happenings of daily life.

The people and what they say, the vacations, the memories.

I glean my poetry from all these things. It’s simply what’s in my heart.
