I Am a Poet
I am a poet
Can’t you see
There is so much deep inside of me
My dreams, my hopes, my faith to share
My stories of children and thoughts to compare
I am a poet… yes indeed
I need to tell you of what I see
I need to tell of thought unfurled
Of treasure to be found around the world
Of sea and pirate
Of bird and beast
Of great battles and medieval feast
Of worldly woes
and corrupted foes
Of love and kindnesses and good deeds done
Of Children laughing and having fun
Of shining stars that hold the magic
Of wonderful things and even the tragic
I am a poet… unknown I may be
But deep down inside there is a poet in me
A Dog’s Love My Best Friend
When I am sad she holds me
When I cry she wipes my tears away
When my heart is broken right by my side she stays
When I fall she catches me
And helps me up with glee
When I am feeling lonely she does the funniest things
So much joy and happiness this friend brings
When I am
