Arsonist
Interconnecting pathways in my city of sadness
Direct routes from memories to madness
Dark alleyways of my mind where your fingers graze my skin
Where it all begins
Your pupils dilate, and you violate
All I can see are rain clouds engulfing the sky
I don’t understand why
A child lost in the pouring rain
Never to be the same
Their youth burst into flames
The arsonist walks away, smiling, no care
While I take years to rebuild and repair
