About this ebook

Usually, when we see or use this, we are referring to laugh out loud.

Funny how we can take a dig at someone and then put LOL.

This short book will give you a whole new meaning for LOL. It will give funny but true short stories.

LOL, to me, means live out loud.

My life has been just thatliving out loud with family, in worship, at ball games, and even in shopping!

Sometimes thats good; sometimes its very annoying to others. But as my grandson Peyton, as a sixth grader, said, Nana, live loud and proud or quiet and dead!

Because my grandchildren (blessings) have encouraged me to do this book, I ask you, What does your LOL mean in your life?

    PROLOGUE

    Foreword

I dedicate this book to my 11 grandchildren, as they have spurred me on to write my second book.

There are 12 chapters of LOL, one for each of my grandchildren, and one for one who is not here yet. LOL!

We all need to loosen up and live out loud. Otherwise, how can you let people know who you are about and who you represent?

I haven’t always lived my life out loud. In fact, when I was younger, I often felt inferior and intimidated. And where did that attitude get me? Nowhere!

But oh, how liberating it is to be set free and not be in bondage to what other people say or think. To get to that positive place in life, I found an anchor that is steadfast and sure, and that changed me into a confident human being. I didn’t say, perfect, but nevertheless confident to live out loud unashamedly.

So to my 11 blessings that God has given me (and the rest of you reading this book), I hope you have learned from Nana’s life that there is nothing wrong with a big L.O.L. life!

    Just go do it!

    Love you all,

    Nana (a.k.a. Sharon Johnson)

    CHAPTER 1

    Lord of Love

    JOHN 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Some may say, Oh, I could never be like you, Sharon.

First of all, I don’t want you to be like me. God has given the body of Christ all different parts and functions. None of us are made alike, sorta like the Cabbage Patch dolls of the 1980s (I bet my kids think that’s a vegetable), but we are made by the same Creator.

However, I wouldn’t be able to do, go and see the things I can and have if it were not for the Lord of Love.

Have you ever seen a puppy dog that has been mistreated? Tail tucked in between his legs, he shies away, and he has that look in his eyes that says, They don’t love me.

It’s the same way with children who have been yelled at and hurt.

Even we adults carry that anger and hurt that comes from
