Juanita McClain
Juanita McClain was born and raised in Buffalo NY by her parents Katie and Jeremiah McClain. She has spent her entire life fighting sickle cell disease. Using writing as a coping method, she shares her experiences with others in hopes of inspiring and motivating others with similar struggles to never give up. Realizing that something's are out of our control she turns her negative situation into something positive. She has accomplished both an associates and a bachelor's degree and has moved on to become a famous author and a ambassador for sickle cell disease awareness. Accomplishing all of her goals while struggling to survive this horrific disease that has almost claimed her life on several occasions. She is hoping to give others the courage to want to prevail at all aspects in life.
