Because of the unconditional love I share, I dedicate this book to my mother, my grandmother, my grandfather, and my brother, Bucky.
I am also dedicating this book to Sylvia and Helga, who were dear to my heart. My one regret is that the aforementioned individuals are no longer physically here to witness my dream become a reality. I can feel their love surrounding me and their spirits guiding me.

I want to express my appreciation to all who provided encouragement and support throughout this journey.
My mother, who bought me a diary when I was eleven years old, which started me on the path of writing.
My maternal grandparents, who emphasized the importance of education and stressed that reading and books were the key to knowledge.
My grandmother, who was responsible for my obtaining my first library card and who taught me to treasure books.
My grandfather, who bought me my first dictionary.
My cousin John, who recommended and suggested certain books for me to read, even when I was too young to understand what I was reading.
My sister, Sandra, who had a greater vision and continued to encourage me through the challenging times. She always believed in me.
All my other cousins and other family members who have been there through the rough times and the good times.
Delores Lynnette, Zada, and Vivian, who have always played the role of my big sisters by providing insight and sharing their life experiences.
Margo, who has given me support and encouragement. She has a great respect for all artistic disciplines.
My dear friends, Sandra, Eva, Linda, Ingrid, Gail, Beth and Jackie. They have all been instrumental in some way in my achieving this goal. It may have been a smile or maybe a hug.
Karl Michael, who unselfishly gave of his talent and time to assist in preparing my
