Dedication
I would like to dedicate this body of work to the people who have a dream and a vision for something greater for their lives. For those individuals that are not happy with just being normal or average but who believe there is greatness inside of them and who are wondering how they can achieve their goals with or without support from others.
I also want to acknowledge someone who motivates and teaches many people to go after their dreams and that person is Dr. H. Michael Chitwood. I became a partner in some of his organizations and while watching him speak during one of his internet broadcasts, his encouraging words really hit home for me. I was doubting some things and those words made me want to continue to fight and not want to give up.
Another person that I must mention is Frank McClellan my uncle who as a lawyer, law professor and philanthropist has always inspired me to want to achieve as much as I can in life. Your many accomplishments remind me that in our family there is greatness in each of us to do great things and make the world a better place.
Finally, I want to thank Reverend Ricky Burgess the pastor of Nazarene Baptist Church in my hometown. I am grateful for your friendship along with your support of my ministry by allowing me to preach numerous times at your church; along with you showing me some of your work and vision which confirmed that God wants to transform lives inside the church and within the surrounding communities.
Introduction
I am a Christian who believes deeply that God the Father has placed me here on this earth for many things to be accomplished during my lifetime, that I am supposed to be successful in ministry, in business and in my personal relationships with others. I am the type of person who is here not just for my own motives but to also support, encourage and lift up my fellow man and by doing so that I will receive joy in watching others be successful while I am achieving my goals as well. There are far too many people today who desire to see and take pleasure in watching others who attempt to do something new or out of the norm fail. However, even in what many people consider failure is actually success because most people will spend their entire lives wondering what if. While a select and daring few will step out of their comfort zones and seek to do the unthinkable or unimaginable. Believing in yourself requires a bold confidence that some may consider or think of as arrogance yet it is this characteristic that strengthens those individuals that will not be mediocre. This confidence is the fire inside of them that propels certain individuals to always be looking for opportunities to be creative and often keeps them up at night as they strategize the moves that are needed to reach their desired goals. Just like a person who is playing a game of chess who is not only thinking about a current move of the pieces on the board they are also thinking about moves that are four or more moves ahead in the game. For anyone who is looking to live a better and more productive life you must go beyond your thoughts and words by taking action because only you can do it. I believe in you so now is the time for you to believe in yourself and stop using excuses.
