Author

Lewis M. Loatman

“A self-proclaimed “work in progress” author, Lewis M. Loatman is as raw as they come. Shamelessly he speaks his own truths about his mental health, physical health, spiritual awareness, drug experimentation as well as relationship struggles. However, somehow his desperation and depression guided him to Honduras where he participated in missionary work. And less than a year later he found himself on a “spiritual journey” to Southeast Asia. He has discovered his purpose. “To impact the lives of others by promoting and exemplifying self-acceptance, creative expression and restored faith in humanity.” Life is full of highs and lows, all too familiar to Loatman, yet he refuses to be deterred on his neverending quest for balance. Feel the love, feel the pain, feel the truth when this man willingly reveals his soul.

Within this book I, Lewis M. Loatman, will be sharing a collection of poetry, prose, quotes and much more with two main intentions in mind. First, to give hope, strength and courage to people who struggle with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, self-doubt, insecurity and/or addiction as I have been familiarized with them all. And second, to change the way people approach mental health issues and those considered to be affected by them. My internal struggle with my emotions and my mind is a perpetual one; a recurring fight that often seems impossible to conquer. Or does it have to do with my perception? The way I choose to look at my struggle? Or how I choose to cope with the truth? The Hidden Beauty of Emotional Instability was written by me to share pieces of my journey in life thus far; the delicate pieces of my soul, with the belief that self-exposure helps create self-acceptance. By owning my emotional struggle as a part of who I am, I hope to inspire others of all backgrounds to follow in embracing who they are or who is it they want to become. There is beauty in everything and everyone; including the broken hearted, the misguided souls and the traumatized minds. Negative thoughts like self-doubt or fear are inevitable, but if we’re able to distinguish them as just that, we’re one step closer to the person we have the potential to become, one step closer to our greater selves. With that being said, I want you to know that whatever it is you are experiencing in life that may seem like it’s causing you to drown, or prevent you from what you want to accomplish in life, is that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Everyone deals with these types of emotions but you must believe that you can and will get through it! You are beautiful, you are amazing, you are great!....but only if you BELIEVE IT! ;)

From one beautiful soul to another,

    Lewis
