Lift Us Higher - Charlotte A. Beene
Father God
My Destiny
You are my destiny, O Lord
You are my strength
You are the great I AM
You are the King of kings
Only Your name is worthy of our praise
You are the way, the truth, and the life
In everything … You sacrificed
I lift my voice to You in worship and in praise
You are my all in all
Forever and always
You are the scent of gentle rain
Upon the ground
The newborn baby’s precious cry as
In Your image he abides
You are the lighthouse in a raging storm
A strong beacon, You are my glorious Lord
To lead and guide me in Your way
Each step I take every day
You are my destiny, O Lord
My fortress and my stronghold
You are my destiny, my destiny, O Lord

38615.pngFragrance unto God
A fragrant aroma of Christ unto God
O Lord, may I always be
An odor of sweetness
Pleasing unto Thee
May my life be a gift to You
I offer on bended knee
Father God, I bow down
Longing to see You, my Lord
Covered with many crowns
In glory and due praise
Someday I’ll see
Diadems upon Your brow
May I give all that You made me to be
Fill me with Your holiness
Your joy, Your love, Your peace
Let it bubble like a fountain
Reaching deep inside of me
Yes, Lord, my Lord
May I ever be
An odor of sweetness
Acceptable unto Thee
A fragrant aroma of Christ unto God
O Lord, may I always be

41654.pngLight of God
God created the heavens and earth
In the beginning of time
There was formless, empty darkness
Over the surface of the deep
God said, Let there be light
Even before creating the sun
When God appeared, His brilliance
Sent radiant beams of light streaming
Yet today, His light still shines
For in His light, we see the way
God’s revealing of hidden darkness
In the souls of His creation
We do not see our sins
Until the light of His dear Son
Exposes all our chaff and dross
For in the light of God
Stands redemption and healing
Cleansing from our guilt and stains
When we receive the light of God’s love
The darkness in us begins to fade
The glorious beginning of our salvation
Hallelujah, praise and honor to His holy name

41661.pngFather, Make Us One
Father, make us one
Merge our hearts together
Let us look into Your light
Till we shine within Your heart
When others look at us
May they see Your light
May they come to You, O Lord
Because You shine in us
May the light in us
Shine brighter, Lord, much brighter
Until the world is broken, Lord
And sees their need for You
May our lives be pure
And strong within Your love
May we show the goodness of Your heart
And not our sinfulness
Keep shining, Lord, in us
Until Your Son returns
We want the light of Your love
To brightly shine in us
Father, make us one
Merge our hearts together
Let us look into Your light
Because You shine so brightly
Father, make us one
Merge our hearts together
Let us look into Your light
Till we shine within Your heart

41666.pngHe Could See the Diamond
When I was a tiny baby
So small, so young, so fair
He looked deep into my soul
He saw great potential there
He saw a diamond, hidden away
When I sinned and turned one day
He never took His eyes from me
For He saw the diamond beneath the clay
He saw what others could not see
A sparkling diamond, deep within
Gradually covered with life’s tole of pain
He polished my soul, erased my sin
No matter how cruel the world had been
He always came when I called on Him
There was no pain
His healing light could not touch
