Kimberly:
I’m surrounded in darkness; Covered in blood, there is so much death. How did I get here? What could I have done differently to prevent this?
Chapter 1
Essence and Kimberly was sitting in a limo. Both sisters were wearing beautiful gowns and sophisticated heels. Essence’s chestnut color skin and Kimberly’s almond color skin complimented their assemble.
Kimelon, Where are you taking me? Asked Essence as she plucked Kimberly in the knee.
Hey! It’s a surprise. Answered Kimberly with a smile on her face.
I hope you know that I see through you. Said Essence squinting her hazelnut colored eyes.
I have NO? idea. What you are talking about. Said Kimberly acting oblivious
Oh really. You take me out to go shopping. When I know you HATE shopping. And your actually wearing a dress. When you HATE wearing dresses. You’ve been super perky and happy today which means you are up to something. Expressed Essence while crossing her arms and legs.
Okay, Ladies were here. Said Erin the limo driver.
Essence opens up the car door and there’s a flood of people Screaming Happy Lifeday Essence!
Essence climbs out. She then remembered that it was her lifeday.
What spell did you cast on me Kimelon? Asked Essence.
Just a small forget me spell. Said Kimberly.
Ahhh, the forget me spell. A spell that makes the user forget about important things about themselves. Hmmm, Quiet clever baby sister. Said Essence bumping her hip against Kimberly.
Kimberly laughs and says let’s go inside.
As the two sisters headed inside. Both of them were amazed at the building they have just entered. The entire building was decorated from head to toe. In Essence’s two favorite colors (Yellow and Pink) Essence was greeted by all of her friends. She was lead up a staged followed by her sister and was told to sit down in the thrown chair. Her mother and father walked on the stage and called for everyone’s attention.
Lillian stood facing the crowd wearing a beautiful golden colored dress to compliment with her honey colored skin, While Nathan was wearing a golden color suite to match his wife on his espresso color skin.
Hello everyone and Welcome. Said Lillian.
We are here because sixteen years ago today. I gave birth to my first beautiful baby girl. That Nathan and I named Essence Lynn Travin. She is now sixteen years old and as a rite of passage for any witch or warlock to have not only a lifeday party but her familiar ritual on their sixteen lifeday. As you all know that the familiar ritual summons a familiar that reflects each Witch or Warlock’s soul and is a guide and weapon. So Essence, come here my darling. Said Lillian.
Essence stood up and walked over to her mother.
Essence repeat this spell (Creatura ego voco ad me sum mea anima atque praesul presul) said Lillian.
Essence repeated the spell. As she began to chant the spell a whirlpool started to descend from the roof and there appeared a sword floating in front of Essence.
Open your eyes sweetheart. Said Lillian
Essence opened her eyes to see the sword floating in front of her.
Essence grabs the sword and says (Consurge) just then the blade of the sword manifest into a 9.8 ft seaweed green andaconda snake with yellow spots from its head to the end of its body.
Hello. Hissed the Snake.
Hi? Says Essence.
My name is Venom. Your soul called to me because you are a natural born leader, Stubborn and very lethal when you have to be. That is why I chose to become your Familiar. Hissed Venom.
Thank you for choosing me. Said Essence.
Well ladies and gentleman. My daughter’s Familiar is a Poison blade. The last one to have one in our family was my great grandmother Regina Travin. Now everyone let’s have a great time. Said Lillian.
Music started to bounce off the walls and everyone started to collide on the dance floor.
Hey mom, Where’s grandma, grandpa and aunt Ava? Asked Essence
Oh, sorry honey your grandfather is sick so grandma stayed to take care of them. And you know your aunt Ava probably got stuck somewhere as usual. Explained Lillian
Just then Kimberly felt a calm feeling. She turned around to see Matthew and Nima her two childhood friends walking up the stage.
Matthew is 6’1, with raven colored hair and carmel colored eyes to match his carmel color skin. His baby face, muscular cheek bones and round jawline attracts the girls from every world out there. He’s very humble for a guy who has titanium hard abs that compliments his lean arms and legs. He is the least conceited person I know. Unlike the most conceited person I know which is Nima whose literally a inch taller than me by being 5’7 and having a oval shaped face, with her olive shaped, dark brown color eyes and cinnamon colored skin. She’s very slim with a bit of curves and wears everything designer. Thought Kimberly
Wow, Essence your familiar is awesome. Said Matthew.
It could have been better. I mean, if I get something like that at my sweet sixteen I will scream. Said Nima.
Thank you, Matthew and shut up Nima before I have Venom bite you. Said Essence.
Don’t even joke around like that. Said Nima pointing her cinnamon colored finger at Essence.
I can’t wait to see what you three get for a familiar next year. Said Essence gesturing to Kimberly, Matthew and Nima.
Yeah, I would love to have a dragon or something. Said Matthew with a bit of excitement.
Yeah ok. Said Kimberly in a sarcastic tone.
Well you guys thanks for coming, but I’m going to go and have some fun. Said Essence.
Hey Esse, where are you going to put Venom? Asked Kimberly.
Ummm? Said Essence.
Venom flew to Essence’s right hand. Then shrunk to 1 inch and turned into a black bracelet.
Thank you Venom. Said Essence before she walked off.
Hey is Cassie here? Asked Kimberly
Um, yeah I think she’s over there having fun. Said Matthew pointed matthew toward the crowd.
Kimberly looked to see her bestfriend. Looking fabulous in her own style of a rainbow colored dress matching her hair with white shoes. Which oddly fit well with her warm beige skin and dark brown almond shaped eyes.
Oh wow. Said Kimberly with a smile.
Matthew looked at Kimberly.
Is everything ok? Asked Matthew
Mmhm. Sounded Kimberly
Come on let’s outside to talk. Asked Matthew.
Sure. Said Kimberly
Nima rolls her eyes and walks away.
The two went out through the side door. Matthew grabbed Kimberly’s hand and gently levitated up to the roof and sat down.
So what’s on your mind? Asked Matthew.
I don’t know, it’s this bad feeling I have been having all week and I just don’t know what it could be. Said Kimberly.
What kind of bad feeling? Asked Matthew.
I have been having dreams about being buried alive. Said Kimberly concerned.
Your probably are just having nightmares. If you need to talk to me in the middle of the night. I will always answer my witches glass, for you. Said Matthew
Thank you Matt. Said Kimberly
You’re welcome. Said Matthew.
Back at the party everyone was having a great time. Dancing talking and playing games. Except for Nima.
Nima, what are you doing over here in this corner? Asked Iris wearing a short cut black dress on her warm ivory skin.
I’m bored and a little bit irritated. Answered Nima crossing her arms.
Why what’s wrong? Asked Yvelle walking up slowly wearing a floor length pink dress against her peanut colored skin.
Well for one I was dragged to this party just to be ignored once again by Matthew. Said Nima in an annoyed tone.
Ya’ll two are both Legacy born, not everyone in Warrin lineage date back to the very first witches. It’ll happen sooner or later. Said Iris.
See that’s where I think your wrong. I know that I’m from one of the legacy born family and so is he. But so is Kimberly and for as long as I can remember it has never been just Matthew and myself it has always been Essence, Kimberly, Matthew and I. Said Nima.
Well we all know that Essence and Matthew and you are the next rulers of Warrin. And you’ll are going to have your hands full but as of right now please don’t worry about Matthew and have some fun with us. Were at a party for all wiccan sake. Pleaded Yevelle.
Fine. Said Nima as she rolled her eyes.
As the girls headed towards the dance floor. Nima was knocked down.
Ouch! Hey who did that! Yelled Nima.
She saw a hand reach out for her through the crowd. She grabbed the hand. She was lifted up swiftly.
Thanks, some idiot knocked me down. Said Nima
Anytime, and your Nimora, Nimora Swistun right? Asked the young man.
Duh? Who else would I be. Said Nima
The guy smirked and said you are beautiful when you scrunch up your face like that.
Why do you say that? And who are you? Asked Nima.
My name is not important. It was really nice meeting you. Said the young man.
Wait what? Said Nima
Okay everyone it’s time for Essence to open up her gifts. But I would like everyone to head outside for her first gift from myself and her father. Announced Lillian.
When Nima looked back. The young man was gone.
Kimberly do you know what mom and dad got me? Asked Essence
I actually don’t. They kept that from me. Said Kimberly.
Just then Everyone looked up and started clapping.
What is everyone looking at? Asked Essence.
Esse, look up. Said Kimberly.
OMG! Screamed Essence with joy.
Nathan was in a Pink convertible hover car. As he descended from the sky and parked the car in front of Essence. He got out and went over to Essence.
Do you like it? Asked Nathan.
YES! Daddy I love it. Said Essence as she hugged her father.
Go on, Get in. Said Lillian.
Essence ran to the driver side of her brand new car. She opened up the car door and got in. She felt the wheel of the car. As she started the car with the spell (volo). She ascended into the sky.
You know that’s what I’ve been dreading all summer. Said Matthew to Kimberly.
What? Said Kimberly.
My dad tried to teach me how to drive his car and I totaled it
Said Matthew.
Awww. It’s not that bad. Said Kimberly.
Yeah, not if I totaled it 42 times. I’m pretty sure the last thing he’s going to get me for my lifeday next year is a hover car. Said Matthew.
Aww, Matt don’t say that. A lot can happen between now and then. Said Kimberly
Let’s hope your right. Said Matthew.
Just then there was a loud crash through the glass ceiling and someone screaming and a loud thud. Everyone ran back into the building. Some people gasp and some shrieked but everyone was baffled. By the Blonde haired young lady covered in blood. She was dressed as a waitress.
Lillian shouted out someone call 341.
Mom, is she dead? Asked Kimberly in a nervous tone.
I don’t know sweetheart. Answered Lillian.
What the hell was that? Thought Essence. She turned her car around and started to descend her car with a thrust. Just then someone started to cross the street. Oh no! Shouted Essence.
Crash!
Oh my god. Repeated Essence as she got out of the car and ran to see who she hit.
Omg! Paused Essence looking at the attractive young man laying down before her.
Are you ok? asked Essence.
Ow! My leg. Said the young man.
Your leg is bleeding. I’m so sorry. I just got this car like literally and again I’m sorry. I can’t believe I hit someone on my lifeday. Said Essence.
It’s your lifeday? Asked the young man.
Yeah? I’m Essence Travin. Said Essence.
Oh you’re that Legacy girl? Said the young man.
Yup that’s me. Said Essence
Well Essence it would be really nice if you could call 341 for me since I’m bleeding.
Oh, yeah sorry. Said Essence as she pulled out her witches glass and numbers appeared in the glass and she dialed (341)
Back at the party
Is this the bad feeling you were having all week? Asked Matthew
No, but I’m afraid of what it could be. Answered Kimberly looking at Matthew worried.
Chapter 2
Hello I’m Heather Fawn. News reporter of WN16. Officials are saying that the Epic party of the one Ms. Essence Travin turned tragic. When Stephanie Phayo, (age 27) a waitress of the party fell through the roof (literally) Luckily Mrs. Lillian Travin was there to heal some of her injuries before an ambulance showed up. But that’s not all. Ms. Essence Travin hit a young man named Brian McCormick with her brand new car.
Lillian, Nathan and Kimberly sat around the breakfast table.
Esse, is not going to be happy when she sees this. Said Kimberly.
When I see what? Said Essence as she entered the kitchen.
Oh nothing, sweetheart come have a seat. Said Lillian.
I’m on the news aren’t I? Said Essence taking a seat.
Yes you are but it’s ok, don’t worry about it. Said Nathan.
Good because I’m not. Said Essence
Wait? Your not? Said Kimberly.
No I’m not and you know why? Asked Essence
The family answer (why?)
Because who can say that my party had party crashers through the ceiling. Said Essence.
Oh my lord. said Lillian
Which by the way mom who was the girl who fell? Asked Essence.
Her name is Stephanie Phayo she was one of the waitresses serving at your party. All I know is that she’s a grad student from Kennet Ognian University. The doctors say that she’s lucky to be alive. Said Lillian
Honey, are there any leads to who could have done this to her? Asked Nathan
Nope not a clue but I guess that’s what being a one of the rulers of Warrin is all about. I have to actually get going to talk to Lukein and Vincent about this incident. I’ll see you guys later. I love you. Said Lillian as she headed out of the door.
Love you mom. Said Kimberly and Essence in unison.
You girls should get to school before ya’ll are late. Said Nathan.
We’re going now dad, love you. Said Essence as she got up.
I love you daddy. Said Kimberly as she hugged her father.
Love you too Kimbear. Said Nathan.
As Essence opened up her car door. She said to her sister. You know you shouldn’t worry.
Why do you think I’m worried. Asked Kimberly.
Because you always get first day jitters. And I’m telling you now to not worry. Said Essence as she started to Ascend in to the air.
God, I can’t hide nothing from you. Said Kimberly with a chuckle.
You should already know little sister. Said Essence as she grinned.
Yeah I should. Said Kimberly.
You know Deviltry Academy is nothing like Deviltry elementary or Deviltry Junior Academy. This is the start of the big times. Said Essence.
Yeah I know. Said Kimberly.
As Essence descended to the ground. Parking her car in the parking lot on the left side of the school’s entrance. Kimberly saw two limo’s pull up beside them. Out came Nima on the right and Matthew on the left.
Hey guys. Said Kimberly.
Hey Kimberly and Essence. Said Matthew.
Hey Matthew. Said Nima.
Matthew just nodded towards Nima much to her dismay.
Everyone looked up at the H shaped school that was three times as big as the previous schools they have attended.
This place is huge. Said Kimberly
It’s not that big. Said Essence
That’s because your used to the school already Esse. Said Kimberly
Yea, I’m going to get lost a lot in this place. Said Nima
Are those gargolyes in front of the school? Asked Matthew
The sure are they roar for when school is about to start and when school ends. Said Essence
What about between classes? Asked Matthew
Your responsible to get to your classes on time and your scheduals will tell you when its time for lunch. Explain Essence
Got it. Said Matthew
Since you’ll are freshman’s you’re going to have Basic classes. I’m going to be in Proficient classes. Each class says either Basic, Proficient, Advance or Commanders at the front of them. You will have World Antiquity class, Fundamentals and Alchemy classes to name a few. And only the four of us as usual have Censoring class at the end of the day. Here
