The Lamb’S Wife Makes Herself Ready: Love Is the Commitment Bible Study Workbook with Commentary

About this ebook
If Jesus Christ is the priority of your life and you hunger and thirst to know him, this Bible study will help you get ready for his return. It doesnt matter when Jesus will return; each one of us has only one lifetime to prepare as the Lambs wife. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Redeem your time. The days are evil.
Kathe S. Rumsey
Never underestimate the value of a class reunion—or a neighborhood craft group that evolves into a Bible study. The summer of 1983, Kathe attended a class reunion that impacted her life for eternity. While discussing a Christian program with her husband and a friend, Kathe realized she knew nothing about the Bible. With her heart receptive to the value of God’s Word—she was determined to know more. Kathe came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior through study of the Bible; and the baptism with the Holy Spirit. A college course in Nutritional Science inspired her to experiment and appreciate the creative aspect of preparing meals for family and friends. Kathe S. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
—Luke 11:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me [Jesus]: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
—John 16:13–15
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
—1 John 2:27 NKJV
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
—2 Timothy 2:15
Dedication
The Bible admonishes us to count the cost of serving God before undertaking any project lest we begin and find ourselves unable to complete the task (Luke 14:26–33). Although led of the Holy Spirit to compile The Lamb’s Wife Makes Herself Ready Bible Study Workbook with Commentary as a companion to Love Is the Commitment: Protocol Guidelines for God’s Royal Wedding, we had no idea when it would be complete and ready for publication. We walked in faith knowing God would provide the skills needed to bring this work to fruition. For thirty-one years, we have met together to pray and study Scripture. Our genuine desire is to share what we have learned with the body of Christ.
We dedicate this work to our precious families who patiently experienced the changes in us as the Holy Spirit trained us in God’s Word. Our heavenly Father is well aware of the sacrifice each one of you has made.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.
—1 Thessalonians 2:19–20 NKJV
The secret things belong unto the
LORD
our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
—Deuteronomy 29:29
Preface
No one except our heavenly Father knows when Jesus Christ, our Bridegroom, will return for His bride (Matthew 24:36). Many Christians within the church look forward to Jesus’ arrival. Even though many consider themselves His bride-elect, Scripture shows us only the wise virgins enter into an intimate relationship with their Lord and Savior. The foolish virgins will find a closed door before them.
The Lamb’s Wife Makes Herself Ready Bible Study Workbook with Commentary expounds God’s principles to aid the church in her preparation as the Lamb’s wife (Revelation 19:7). We have only one lifetime to train and prepare ourselves to reign with Christ for all eternity. Together with the Word of God, the Holy Spirit instructs and trains Jesus’ betrothed to rule and reign now, and forever. This is possible through prayer, hearing the Holy Spirit, and obedience to the Word of God. The Spirit of truth helps each member of the body of Christ get ready for his or her role alongside the King of kings.
In today’s world, future brides have an overabundance of wedding plan options. This is true of the doctrines circulating in present day churches. How does one begin to know what to choose? Preparations and training for rulership as the Lamb’s wife begin with submitting to God’s order of relationships:
1. God
2. spouse
3. children
4. church (believers)
5. world (unbelievers)
The Vital Importance of Prayer
God’s kingdom protocol begins with understanding our function within the body of Christ. Through His Son Jesus Christ, God invites every believer to His kingdom and glory (1 Thessalonians 2:12). We become His temple on earth. As His temple, God ordained prayer as His way of accomplishing His will on earth as it is in heaven. Everyone who calls himself or herself Christian is God’s house of prayer. He accomplishes His will through us as we communicate with Him and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, the Word of God. As servants of God, we must have ears to hear the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1). He will guide us into all truth. As members of the body of Christ, we have a duty to pray. Through prayer and Bible study, we come to know who we are in Christ and prepare ourselves for His return.
Mustard Seed Faith Moves Mountains
Kathe
The faith and compassion of two of my neighbors opened the door for me to have a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Change for me began in the comfort of our craft group. In those days, I would never have participated in a neighborhood Bible study.
