    CHAPTER ONE

KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORD COMMANDS POWER

    Heb 4:12-13

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Life is a mystery. God from the beginning designs it to be so. Many people live their lives out without understanding the purpose for which they were created. To them, they are blinded to the truth of who they are. The revelation of our persons is in the knowledge of who God is.

God can only be revealed in his word. The word is spirit and life. The sovereign nature of God can only be optimized by the power of His word. The word speaks about whom he is, his power, his ability and his authority. The word discerns, seeing into the spirit, it exposes secrets and deep things of God. Whatever the word tells about God is true. The word is quick and powerful, breaking into the spirit of man. It discerns the thoughts. No secret is hid from Him; all things are naked and open to him. It tells the past, the present and the future. No one knows the spirit of man except by the spirit of God. We can only discover our nature, purpose and destiny by giving attendance to the word of God. It reveals your future before you walk into it. Jesus understood God’s mission for his life as he read the word.

    Luke 4:17-20

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

If you take a close summary of this scripture, you will agree with me that, Jesus saw, the mission, the purpose of his life on earth in these verses. No wonder, he was not fumbling, nor confused, rather He was very insightful, focused and very determined. He came to preach, to heal, deliver, set the captives free, and preach recovery, restoration, power and salvation. There were distractions here and there but this could not take his attention.

The people who enjoyed his ministry came to take him and to force him to be their king, he escape the trap because that was a distraction. Should men made him king and he consented to it; he would have lost his position divinely ordained as the king of kings. The true understanding that guided him to the fulfillment of his mission came when he opened the Book, he saw the definition of his mission in the book, written and sealed until he unlock the book, and read it for himself. Don’t wait for one to tell you who you are, go to the book. Daniel said I understood by book what God’s and purpose had been for his people Israel. The bible says as soon as Jesus read and had revelation of the father’s mission on his life, he closed the book and began to Minister, and all eyes were on him. His fame was heard everywhere, the anointing came to fulfill the assignment. He had the father’s backing, grace must multiply, favour increase, healing manifest, dead raised, souls saved, demons cast out, blinds receive their sight, the captives were delivered and God was with him. You need this spirit of revelation that discovers your purpose and destiny. It stirs up the giants and wakes up the champions. It quickens, enlightens the mind and loss the power and ability to perform.

    John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Until the spirit of God through the word of God reveals the purpose of God in your life, you will be lost in the crowd, ignorant is destiny destroyer. The scripture shows, the word is spirit and life. Until you are affected and impacted by the word of God, your spirit is dead and your destiny defeated; your life caged and your purpose stolen by the enemy called ignorant. For lack of knowledge my people are destroyed.

Jeremiah knew his life purpose beyond conception through the
