    CHAPTER THREE

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON

•The Church was born on the day of Pentecost, with mighty signs and wonders.

•It was with great manifestations that attracted attention.

•That is the plan of God for the Church. It must live and swim in the supernatural.

•We cannot do without a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit. Why?

•God cannot do anything on planet earth without passing through the Holy Spirit.

•Thus, the Church or Christianity without the Holy Spirit is a body without the life of God.

•In our study today, I want to share with you, the fact that the Holy Spirit is a person.

•In the Godhead, there are 3 persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each of them have distinct characteristics.

    •However they are one.

    It is a mystery.

•In the same vein, the Holy Spirit as a divine personality have distinct characteristics.

•The Holy Spirit is a spirit personality with a spiritual body (1 Cor. 15:44).

•As a person, He has all the characteristics/attributes of a person.

•In fact, going through the scriptures you notice personal pronouns (He, Him, I, etc) used in describing the Holy Spirit because He is a person.

•In John 16:5-15, alone you will see 13 of these personal pronouns.

•Thus, you see that the Holy Spirit is a person.

•He is not just a force, wind or fire – He is a divine personality.

•As a Divine Person, we must learn to recognize and appreciate His presence.

•As a Divine Person, we must learn to praise and worship Him.

•We must seek His love and intimate friendship.

•As a Divine Person, we must seek the honor and partnership of the Holy Spirit.

•The Holy Spirit is a Person because He has distinct attributes that can only be found in a person.

•The wind, the fire or a force cannot speak, act, think etc. but the Holy Spirit as a divine person can feel, act, think, speak and be spoken to.
