Kathy was born in Wisconsin but has called the mountains of Colorado her home for the last fifty years. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, former nun, and spiritual sojourner who has enjoyed writing; creating pottery; quilting; outdoor activities; golf; and traveling by motorcycle, automobile, and RV. Kathy has been a seeker of truth all her life. Because religious community life failed to satisfy her yearning for connection with her Source or provide answers to her deepest questions, she disengaged from any religious affiliation, and then struggled in the ensuing years to find meaningful, spiritual understanding and guidance. The physical challenges she faced in the collision in 2002 presented not only the impetus but also the time to take her search to a deeper level, becoming the greatest gift of her life. The simple truths emerged to sustain her and give purpose and clarity to the next season of her life. Kathy’s writing flows from a lifetime of compassionate service, including volunteer work in hospice, hospital, and numerous other settings.
