About the Author
Patty Lowry is part pixie, part philosopher and part warrior princess! Imagine if Nancy Drew and Mary Richards had a ménage à trois with Agent Scully, while Peggy Olson took notes. Ahem.
Award-winning copywriter at a super cool advertising agency (by day) and joyful, magical and adventurous moxie-maker (by night), Patty’s claim to fame is Brownie of the Year, 1969. She is a self-described forest-frolicking hippie who loves nature above all else.
The elements are my messengers. My imagination is my compass and wanderlust is my path.

To the one and only magical Kate Sharpe: thanks for teaching me that Julie isn’t real

Preface
OK, take a seat; I’m going to share a super big secret. A secret that I’ve hidden with shame for most of my life. I’ve pretended, camouflaged, covered up, overcompensated and fooled the masses for decades…but of late, I’ve decided to come clean, embrace it, own it, love it, pet it, hug it and squeeze it. Are you ready?
I struggle with words: I’m dyslexic. I suck at spelling, I’m lousy at grammar and, frankly, I have no real affection for punctuation, periods or proper prose for that matter.
When I was little the teacher called me stupid. I had to go to the special
class. Little did they know that being special
would reveal some pretty awesome sauce perks. Perks that included having my parents tell me that I was born on a star and that I had secret super powers. Perks that trained me to infuse my imagination with uber effervescent sparkle. Perks that led me to hone in on and celebrate my own unique way of expressing my observations, ideas
