The Breath of the Spirit
()
About this ebook
The same way my physical body needs to breathe to live, so also my spiritual being needs to breathe to live. Of course the Word of God feeds the spiritual being, but what gives it life? Feeding a dead spirit produces no result; it has to be alive for the effects of the feeding to be seen. The Breath of the Spirit unveils what gives the spirit lifewhat keeps it breathing. A living and breathing spirit results in a triumphant Christian life.
Edith Maiwor Asimah
Edith Maiwor Asimah found fulfillment the very day she was led by the Holy Spirit to write down all the words He told her. She realized living a life chosen by oneself or others is empty, but living the life chosen by He who formed her (her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ) is perfection and greatness beyond her wildest imagination. Edith is the cofounder of Tabernacle of Prayer for all Nations and a member of Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. She is a songwriter and finds great happiness in giving to the needy. She is blessed with a husband, Edwin Yaw Akuamoah, and a son, Jedidiah Forde Komla Akuamoah.

Life is a journey to humility, to lowliness. How great one becomes on earth is as a result of how much is given to them by The LORD God Almighty – The Sovereign One, The Creator of all things. A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven (John 3: 27). Mind you, greatness is not measured in riches, fame and position but in spiritual growth; for it is the spiritual that controls the physical and in Christ Jesus all these are freely given.
Much is poured into a container that is empty, the emptier it is, the more it receives. While pride puffs up and fills a container (a vessel) with futility occupying all the space that there is, humility empties it and allows it to be filled with more virtue, more purity, more goodness, more greatness and all blessings that come from the LORD.
We (you and I) are all containers that need to be filled by God and unless we are emptied of all we presume to have, what we believe that we have gotten from this world, we cannot be filled. And how much we receive depends on the space available in us; whether it will be thirty fold, sixty fold or hundred fold [Matthew 13:8 – But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty]. Yes, you can determine how much you want to receive [Mark 10:29-30 – So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life].
As each day passes, we all need to take those steps daily, that makes us lowlier, more humble. And as we do every day, more will be added to us by God thus our spirit rises every day to be conformed to the very image of God as initially created in the beginning [Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth
].
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5: 17).
In Christ, we have a new spirit man that grows as we walk in all humbleness and obedience to our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ by His Spirit. For the more we receive from Him, the more we are like Him.
When our cup is overflowing, when we have reached perfection and glorification at rapture, and when our spirit leaves this earthly container – our bodies – we will be joined with Him; for we are in Him and already part of Him. Hallelujah.
Start taking the daily steps to humility and experience your spirit being made alive and gradually becoming more in the image of The Father, and
